Please tell me you don't find any of the men on SGU to be eye candy? I've never really had the hots for any of the men on the other SG shows, but I can objectively say that some of them are attractive and I can understand how some people might find them physically appealing. I can't say the same about any of the men on SGU though. There isn't a single one I have ever thought twice about in the romantic sense if you know what I mean, and that includes resident boy toy BJS. Ugh! His personality is so nasty that it kills off any physical attractiveness he might possess. And don't get me going about the straggly haired, slovenly looking Robert Carlyle. :puke:

I guess there are some people into that. They're called "chubby chasers". Totally not my cup of tea but whatever floats their boat I guess. Personally I prefer a man that can't fill up a D cup and who doesn't weeze when he climbs a flight of stairs, nor smells like a boiled ham. Guess I'm just picky that way.

I'm usually on top with SGU related stuff but for some reason this Brad Wright quote squeeked right by my and I just read it yesterday.
Look, I'm a Stargate fan, grew up with the shows practically. The Stargate movie was one of the first I ever saw in the theaters. I am ambivalent towards SGU, in the sense that I think it does more things wrong than right, but when they do something right, I've got no problem recognizing that. But Brad Wright's words and some of the SGU fans comments about how if you're a Stargate fan you'll watch the show regardless how you feel, just pissed me off.
And not necessarily as a Stargate fan. But as a person who has respect for people who own up to their responsibilities and has disdain for people playing a blame game. Which is what Brad Wright is doing. Oh heaven forbid there was actually a problem with the show. It's either the networks fault, or some other insignificant people's fault.
And for the SGU fans that promote the idea of watching SGU just for the sake of having SOMETHING Stargate related in production... I say bite me. I'm not going to be coerced into anything, and it's the same kind of bullshit tactic that FoX pulled when Wolverine Origins came out. Being a huge Deadpool fan I was very disappointed by his portrayal in that movie. But I had to deal with naive fanboys who siad: "Oh go watch Wolverine and help it make lots of money so we get a Deadpool movie". It's the same principle. Put up with crap so you'll get the good stuff later, but I'm not gonna base my opinions and decisions on what "might be". All I know is what is. And if SGU is a bad product, there is no guarantee I will get GOOD product in the future by supporting it.

Yep this thing is not slowing down I just hope people are not guilt tripped into watching. I'm dreading the ratings. We have had such a run of good luck it's bound to bite us in the ass :-(

Mr Wright is in blatant denial. If he keeps thinking like that, I can assure you, this depressing, glorified, boring soap opera in space will be axed, just like CRAPICA. The arrogance and think-headed attitude is dumbfounding.
I'm not even that much of a fan of SG-1 or SG-A, as they were a bit too fluff and saturated with one-liner punch jokes to enjoy, fully, although they were fun to watch, overall. Keep in mind, that I'm a much bigger fan of the STARGATE movie, to understand, where I'm coming from. The fact is that hardly anyone likes the show (SG-U), as the ratings reflect. If they wanted to do something so radically different, they should have created and launched their own franchise and turned over the STARGATE franchise over to other writers, who are fans of the original movie. Thank goodness we have writers, producers and directors like Lucas, Spielberg, Roddenberry, Carter, Dick and Cameron, who gave us exciting new franchises, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel or we wouldn't have STAR WARS, E.T., STAR TREK, X-FILES, MINORITY REPORT and TERMINATOR.
It's hilarious that SyFy's motto is "Imagine Greater." They need to take their own advice and stop "re-imainging," and start actually creating more, new franchises. The last original show I enjoyed in SyFy was FARSCAPE. For the record, I'm just now starting to get into SANCTUARY and am really digging it. ...watching an episode, now. Give us more creative and new franchises like these, whether they be lighter, fun stuff or darker and more realistic in nature. ...just something N-E-W.
