Thanks!

I love your new Stewie avatar!

I wasn't sure if it was okay to use a moving gif in an avatar but I couldn't find anything about it in the "code" so I gave it a shot. I assume by your response that it's okay to use this type of avatar. I know moving gifs can become annoying so I may not use it for very long. We shall see... :D

They have never been prohibited, even at SGUS. Its dildoes and quivering breasts and stuff like that which is prohibited as an avatar. :)

Jospeh Mallozzi has not a hint of care in the world of what happens to stargate. He is completely avoiding the stargate questions or, answering them(the REAL stargate not crappy universe) in such a vague fashion that the fans continue to have a "gimmer" of
hope. I think he already has shrugged off stargate franchise.

I can't believe there is not a thing we can do...:(

Today’s entry is dedicated to blog regular PBMom!
justin1985 writes: ““@SaveSGU The reason we can’t continue SGU is the same reason we can’t continue any of show…unfortunately, not enough viewers. [...]“ Comments?”
Answer: Sure, makes sense. Of course, it begs the question “Exactly what is enough viewers?”. Unfortunately, there’s no straight answer because it: a) depends on the time slot and b) depends on the show. It’s not a level playing field. In hindsight, airing on Friday nights was clearly preferable to airing on Tuesday nights while airing during the summer (which is where SGU was supposed to originally air) is much MUCH better than airing during the fall.

don writes: “Do you think that a decision on SGU movies being made will largely be decided by the ratings on the back half of season 2?”
Answer: The ratings of the back half of season 2 will have absolutely no bearing on whether or not Brad and co. proceed with movies.

jojo writes: “Have you thought about staying in a hotel, temporarily, or maybe even for a while, until you find something better?”
Answer: That’s the way it’s looking. Hope the hotel doesn’t mind dogs.

Expletive: BMP writes: “Bey, you’re always eating the best, but I must ask; how much did all of that cost?”
Answer: Considerably more than tacos at your local Mexican eatery, but considerably less than a passion for golf, a love of video games, or a drug habit.

Stentor writes: “Hey Joe, any idea what time the Thomas Haas store on Broadway closes on a Wednesday night?”
Answer: Pretty early. 5:00 or 5:30 I believe.

hal ehrlich writes: “I was wondering if you guys have thrown any ideas around for another incarnation of Stargate?”
Answer: Nope.

Tammy Dixon writes: “Will you have to sign a non-disclosure before dining at the super-secret restaurant?”
Answer: Possibly. There’s a “We respectfully request that guests refrain from the use of video or still cameras as well as mobile phones during their dinner serve at e” clause on the reservation form I signed. I anticipate being frisked on the way in, so will be purchasing a small camera I can hide in my mouth to avoid detection.

Quade writes: “1) What ever happened to the 20+ episodes per season, 1 new episode a week excluding holidays & December format?

2) Do you think the change from that format to this new “mid-season hiatus”, airing episodes sporadicly through the year is what is actually hurting the TV industry?”
Answer: Chalk it up to the networks’ changing tastes/needs. As to whether breaking a show up hinders or hurts it – I’d go with the latter, especially in the case of serialized shows.

Luis writes: “What happens to the SG Set at the end of SGU? are most of the writer’s and producer’s already gone to other projects??”
Answer: The sets are still standing as Brad and co. await word on possible movies. As for the writers/producers – some have moved on, some stand ready to start work on a continuation of the storyline should they receive the green light.

OMG...is it just me, or does there seem to be something vaguely obscene about this photo? Where is the dog's tail, and is it wagging?

She is a typical cute Asian girl.

So he likes Asians, nothing wrong with that IMO, just wish he would treat her with a little more respect and not like some Thai prostitute in Phuket. Not that I'm a total genus when it comes to love, just basic common sense.

Really laughable.
It's not necessary BW and co remain in charge for movies doesn't matter the movie.

:rotflmao:
In addition no sgu will be made. How can MGM produce any movie or whatever else when sgu as series failed so could be sucessful and profitable as a movie? SGA or SG1 could be profitable not sgu.
I thought sgu sets will be down early this month.

There will be no SGU movie. :) The fans can wait till they hear it from Brad, but its not gonna happen. The sets are scheduled to be dismantled over an 8-month period from now until November. I dont think there is more than a 5% chance that something might be given a go by MGM. Perhaps a rework of Gauntlet the final episode?

Yeah, they might try to get funding to tweak "Gauntlet" in order to have some sort of ending. I can't see a full scale re-shoot though. And with the size of the cast and the enormity of tying up everyone's story line I just don't see them pulling it off effectively. Then again, they gave us a rushed, crappy ending to SGA so obviously they're capable of cramming unsatisfactory resolutions into a final episode.

Meh, if it happens it happens. The fact Brad is still there suggests they're not cutting loose from him but we'll see if talks amount to anything.

No point endlessly waiting for news though, MGM hasn't been known for its quick decisions regarding Stargate.

Aren't you the same guy who was arguing rather vociferously a few weeks back in favor or an ending for SGU? You said you didn't want it left on a cliffhanger, correct? Do you still feel the same or are you now okay with SGU just dying and going away? Just curious, not looking to argue here.

Yeah, I agree with you Yoshi. If it happens it happens. I wouldnt be surprised to hear a "surprise" announcement of an expanded rework of Gauntlet for an ending. But to do that, they would have to spend LOTS of money. Money for the cast, for production crew, for setting up the new production company for the project, office personnel (which are mostly all gone according to my sources) and a myriad of other things. But like you said, MGM doesnt seem to be cutting him loose yet by flatly saying "NO, Brad...you cant have your movie".

He cant hide the moves that have to be made before starting such a project. Announcements will appear at the Teamsters site, a new Production Company named Stargate Universe Productions III would have to be formed (unless MGM decides to do it themselves). I dont see it happening, because Gauntlet would not be a suitable direct to DVD movie, given the bits and pieces listed here: http://stargate-sg1-solutions.com/wiki/SGU_2.20_"Gauntlet"_Episode_Guide

Last week is last week. :) Everybody is allowed their say and also to be able to change their minds...just sayin :) You know how I feel about this show! But also understand that Yoshi feels differently than we do. Here at GateFans, its all good. You can do the slagging in the Flame Hell (and I know you will!)

Oh not looking to slag Yoshi here, was just curious if he's changed his mind about SGU is all. It's just a bit confusing.

It will probably be a better question to ask at the end of the 10 episodes when we know more of how things will be left hanging.
