After falling asleep at about 6 in the morning, may day started abrubtly with a call from my brother at 9. Apparently he and his girlfriend had split up, as they did frequently, but THIS TIME it was DEFINITELY over. So he wanted me to come over and pick up some of his stuff at his gf's place, which I wasn't gonna do because it wouldn't have fit into my car and because I expect things between them will miraculously clear up suddenly as they always do. But he was lonely and sad so instead I offered to pick him up and let him stay over for the weekend. Ofcourse this shit happens on the exact day that I finally have the place for myself for the first time in a year so I was happily swearing at fellow motorists all morning. We shopped for some groceries and then when we got to my place I left him alone for a while so I could go sunbathing as I had originally planned. He couldn't join me because he has no membership to that place. When I came back, a little earlier than I intended because he was lonely, I cooked for the both of us. Fried potatoes,
tossed salad and a nice pepper-steak each. Then I went to the gym for a short workout. I wanted to be home in time for my favourite show which me and my bro were supposed to watch together. As it turned out I was mostly watching it by myself as he was preoccupied with his iphone. After the show I took him out to town where we visited two establishments. While I drank water with an occasional coke in between I fed him plenty of beers and some mixed drinks. We just got back. He's sleeping on the couch and I just had me some lasagna bolognese. It's still dark outside but the birds have already begun their singing. It was a good day. I'm pretty tired though. Also what's not so good is that I started the day with a balance of €500,- and I'm now down to €375,-. I think I spent about the amount of money I was planning to spend for the coming two weeks.
Ah well. At least I've been a good brother. Now if he dares to get back with his ex-gf again tomorrow I will sue his ass for everything he's got.
