Sanctuary General Discussion Thread

Well that was a pretty crappy episode. Chicks were kinda annoying, both the bad guy (even though she was hot) and Will's girl. I have a really hard time believing hot chicks as the 'leader' in a gang. To me, it's more like she belongs in a club or something. Will's girl was pretty annoying with the not contacting the sanctuary and running back to Will. It was a bit much, but glad something good came out of the ordeal.

I disagree.

It wasn't a bad episode. I didn't have any issues with a female gang leader (which she wasn't, she was the top lieutenant). I'm not sure how I feel about Will's new girlfriend, time will tell more about how she turns out. I did like the tension created when the rescue operation was ready to go and Magnus called it off because there was a bigger goal in sight (stopping the abnormal slave ship).

One thing we need to keep in mind is that this is not a fresh season of episodes but rather the second part of the season we were already viewing (with the hollow planet). It changes the flow as we aren't getting the normal premiere then episodes setting up the season flow. It is a good argument for networks not breaking shows into two episode blocks without telling the producers beforehand so they can work their story arcs accordingly.

I agree. Feels a little disjointed. But still pretty good.

They need a new arc. Last season was crazy with the hollow earth thing, but now there's not much.

This is THE SAME SEASON. SyFy got stupid and broke it into two halves for showing. I'm quite sure we will see Hollow Earth again.

I actually don't mind that the story arcs aren't dragged on forever. Half a season to get a story told is just fine by me. Personally I'm a bit tired of the Kali (sp?) thing already. I hope they're done with the underground city and earth-shaking behemoths. They need to find other "abnormal" stories to tell. And there's always Tesla who is good for some fun episodes.

I think the hollow earth story has been wrapped up for now. Maybe sometime in the future they'll go back to it, but as far as I'm concerned they leave it as it is. The buildup of that arc was great but the payoff was total bullshit.

yeah, I sorta agree, I think that it did not really get finished completely. They need to go back and finish it correctly. With the whole team , Tesla was never a part of it.

And just when you think Hollow Earth is done, it reappears as a plot element in one VERY well done episode. It was a nice "small set" episode with good acting all around. The decision to shoot it mostly from Will's literal visual perspective also gave it a unique flair. Plus Kate's GEICO joke was hilarious.

I think it needs to go back to Fridays. The Monday numbers are awful (part NBA playoffs, part poor lead in and part Monday just being a sucky cable night historically).

Deadliest Catch. I can't believe they're still airing that show.
I saw it like ten years ago or something.
It's just always the same shit.

I liked it on Fridays. After I lost SciFi fridays, I had been watching Smallville, SPN and Sanctuary.... Now they took Sanctuary away. :(
