Finally something to watch again, only has been Fringe and How I Met Your Mother lately. There's like nothing to watch, nothing at the movies either, everything's so crappy.

Yaaaaaeeeeey!!!
This makes my day.
If you wanna know where to find it, check out piratebay and look for "sanctuary pax romana" or "sanctuary s03e11".
I'd put up the link but that's 'illegal' around here.

Just watched the episode.
Didn't find it all that great actually.
Somehow I find the 'bigger' episodes (storywise) to be a little disappointing compared to the simpler episodes.
They just don't have the budget to make it really impressive so a lot of times (basically all the time) it's painfully obvious that the actors are standing in a 'green room'.
It just felt a little cheesy. Too many conveniences.
Still, I like the show.

Santuary's back!

I liked this episode - it set up ongoing stories while tying up others. Also, they had Druitt channeling Hannibal Lecter pretty effectively - Chris Heyerdahl is a VERY underrated actor.

It was pretty good, the advanced alien race down under were oh so disappointing. Advanced technologically, sure, everything else, what a bunch of idiots.

Maaaaaan, I miss old SG1, they had wisdom and some common sense but no technology in the beginning so when they got advanced technology, they were good guys. But the ones that had advanced technology had no wisdom or common sense. Is there like a inverse correlation between those things in sci-fi usually? Well, the asgard were awesome. Loved those guys.

I'm glad they didn't draw out the underground city any longer. Stories like that get too far afield of the main gist of the show. Hopefully they'll get back to some good plain fun type of episodes.

And can anyone explain to me why the character of "Kate" exists? She is beyond useless and is incredibly boring. She needs to go, hopefully as a meal for an abnormal.

Well that would be interesting, if she became an abnormal somehow, would add flavour. Otherwise, she is annoying, she is a chick, hard to believe she is what she was, that rogue type.

Yeah, glad that drew that to a close, it was becoming more sci-fi. And the god-like beings were sorta ok but kinda took away from the sanctuary aspect.

Kate was more in the background this episode. This was much more about Helen and about her father and the underground city. When she is not in background she is a good character.

The episode did a lot of good things - it got Druitt back into the forefront of things (he really was channeling Hannibal Lecter pretty well for a while there), set up the underground civilisation as part of the ongoing story, explained more about the "hyper abnormals" and tied the plots together that were started early last season.

From reading around the Web it appears that Sanctuary fandom is split on Kate. A lot of people can't stand her and just want her gone. I didn't really care either way until recently, like this episode, when I realized she isn't even doing a good job of being eye candy. She's just there.

And it's not that people are clamoring for Ashley to come back, they simply want Kate gone because she doesn't fit. She might have been okay for an episode or two but making her a regular was pointless. She has become an irritant by her very existence and needs to be dealt with accordingly, such as being devoured by an abnormal and then pooped out. They can make it an episode where Helen discovers Kate's remains amongst the abnormal's feces and goes about reconstructing what happened. In the end she'll discover that Kate was just one big annoying grain of sand in the vagina of the abnormal so the beast was more than good with getting rid of her. Now that's an episode I'd watch!
