Summertime?!?!?!
I hate those long mid season breaks!
Who needs a break anyway.
Just get on with the whole season 20 weeks in a row is what I say.

I'm *LOVING* s.3 of Sanctuary! It just gets better & better!!

Hubby and I just caught up on the new season of Sanctuary over the holiday break and we were blown away by the quality and entertainment value of the show. Hubby actually said "Mallozzi should watch that show and take notes on how to make good tv." lol!

I'm not sure if any of you remember s.3 e.5 about Walter suit. About half way through the episode, there's a scene where Walter asks Henry's opinion about his script. When Henry offers some constructive criticism, Walter gets defensive and says "I'm sorry that I can't please every die-hard fan in their mom's basement who whines, because the comic book is so much better."

I keep wondering if this is a commentary on the whole Mallozzi vs. Stargate fans situation - quite honestly, I find Walter's words to be a close reflection of what Mallozzi said of old SG fans on many occasions, and I keep thinking it's not a coincidence. Did anyone else notice it?

First of all, your siggie: Double Yum!

Secondly, if you look back through this thread a bit, you'll see where other viewers have caught what could be perceived at jabs at the Mallozzi-fan situation. And they are hilarious (as was this comic book comment)!

Hehehehehehehehehe. Now that you mention it...
I'm convinced it is indeed intended as a pun/jab towards TPTB. Amanda Tapping will likely feel insulted by their scorning remarks about her fans as much as the fans themselves. Perhaps we should ask her. :)

I didnt, until you mentioned it and I went back to see. LOL! Im sure it was intentional. Just like the episode recently which had "Joe M" on the door of the asylum where the Lycans were, and he got eaten by another werewolf. ONLY him. :icon_lol: Actors and writers who have had the unfortunate pleasure of working with Joe M on Stargate could leave plenty of "easter eggs" like that for months to come. :)

If I was treated like shit by Mozz, I would have a bone to pick with him too. I wonder if stuff will come out after the SGU actors are no longer on the contract?

Thing is, I dont necessarily think its Amanda Tapping dropping these easter eggs. I think its Damian Kindler, who previously wrote for Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. I imagine his experience with Mallozzi was unpleasant. Look him up!

Kindler is a STARGATE man, and joined SG-1 in season 6. :)

Aww, thanks - it can't get better than that ;)

I will look back, thanks :) Yes, I tend to perceive it as a jab at Mallozzi. :D

LOL! I missed JoeM on the assylum door, but man, is it ever fitting! LOL!

Stonelesscutter & OM, I have a feeling it might be anyone of the producers/writers/directors/actors involved in Sanctuary, since it seems most of them had crossed paths with Mallozzi and had, in one way or another, been invloved in the Stargate franchise. I guess this person/people are either really p'eed off with Mallozzi & Co. or they know how to respect their fans, or both. Either way, props to them. I will continue to support Sanctuary. What's not to like? In the meantime, SGU is history! *evil laugh*

Daughter and I laughed for a long while when we saw the actor's nipple piercings being outed. I think those are real, not faked with makeup.

Sorry, this is a bit late, but I've just caught up on Sanctuary. When I saw those nipple piercings, my reaction was "Whoa! Oversharing! I did not have to know that!" But then they made me giggle... lol!

Well, it definitely shows that television has changed from how it used to be.

I remember when they wouldn't let Barbara Eden's navel be shown in I Dream of Jeannie. Apparently, exposing someone's bellybutton might lead to rioting in the streets.

It just gave me some more information on the actor <grin>, and gave some insights on the character, as well, as I'm sure that they could have used makeup to cover them, or CGI'd them out, if they had really felt they were inappropriate.

Of course, going back to the idea of television rules evolving, I recall an outcry when the character of Hawkeye Pierce on CBS' MASH said "Don't let the bastard get him!" on an episode in the late 70's/early 80's. It was one of the first times profanity was used in a non-live television show. It took a long time after that for "bad" words to become so much more commonly used on shows, but indeed, they have become nearly ubitiquitous in a show's goal of being "adult" and "serious".

Well, it's perfectly fine to show decomposing bodies being disected and people having their brains blown out on CSI, but nudity?! profanity?! That will warp the mind.

I thought they were talking about summer time.

So we'll be going through Tesla withdrawal for awhile yet.

I swear, he's got a crocodile's smile. LOL

I *love* Tesla - he's as sharp as a whip, and his constant fawning over Magnus is hilarious. He also has great chemistry with Henry. But I do miss the fangs when he smiles ;) One wish I do have for the second half of the season is MORE DRUID!!!

Betcher ass!

Uh, actually...Les Moonves was thrown off by the depiction of maggots in the first episode of the show, and they just about weren't allowed to be shown.

What if they were just clip-ons?
(almost sounds like a 'new alien race' Mallozzi and co would have come up with ey) :P
