We Differ a lot Joe, but our taste in movies is very similar
Claudia Black voiced a character Vala Mal Doran in an audiobook Stargate SG-1 Series 3: Part Two "Excision", 2012 (3.2.1.) link: http://www.bigfinish.com/releases/v/s... Synopsis. CHRONOLOGICAL PLACEMENT: During Season 10. Abducted by some less than savoury characters, Daniel Jackson and Vala Mal Doran are caught up in the investigation of a strange object in space. What does it do, who created it and why does it seem so familiar? As they discover more about the object, Daniel and Vala realise that they're taking on an enormously technologically advanced threat bent on rewriting the very foundations of the universe. Can they stop the disaster that's about to occur, or is life as they know it about to change forever? Cast: Claudia Black (Vala Mal Doran), Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson)
It's actually a part of why even today's advanced CGI still feels "fake" - our eyes can still pick up the excessive "cleanness".
I will check those out for sure and the music has been quite bad too.this would be great! don't think the Tolkien estate would ever allow even a 'fan film' though AI made is probably the only way to do justice to the Silmarillion or any sub tales from it

what type of music do you like?I will check those out for sure and the music has been quite bad too.
oh i meant that the music in Rings of power has been quite bad. Just copy cats of Hans Zimmer. Those trailers aren't bad better than what I have seen in Rings of Power. Maybe they should steal that power of one, two and many thing from Star Wars and include that in Rings of Power.what type of music do you like?
you like any "modern- folk"? modern being they use a blend of modern and traditional instrumentsoh i meant that the music in Rings of power has been quite bad. Just copy cats of Hans Zimmer. I like all kinds of music across the board. From ambient, to techno to classical, to western, old pop, rocknroll, swing, jazz and motown, even some country music, trance, house, techno, synthwave,

I prefer something like this those songs are weird. By the way, this singer below is deaf in one ear.you like any "modern- folk"? modern being they use a blend of modern and traditional instruments
from all around, though the better groups these days seem to come from the asian land mass
this group are all Turko-Mongolic minorities with Russia ( i don't hold that against them ) , their lyrics are pretty much all based on very old traditions and passed down verbal mythologies and other tribal stories.
this one is based on tribal courting (13 million views in 2 yrs)

I would like to see what AI comes up with if they fully absorb the material from the books and see what it spits out. They can fix up any mistakes.on those AI gen trailers
i am not a big fan of AI, that is, in what/how AI has been used so far by others
but, I think that if anyone ever tried to turn all of the stories with The Silmarillion and be true to the source material (with 2 seperate new books having since been fleshed out from it using Tolkien's notes CHILDREN OF HURIN and BEREN and LUTHIEN) they would have to:
first, make about 4 sep movies each about 3 hrs long
then, use the AI as these trailers do. Seems the only way to capture Tolkien's imagination in full
Tolkien made NO mistakesI would like to see what AI comes up with if they fully absorb the material from the books and see what it spits out. They can fix up any mistakes.
sure, but you see, that is just western music in the guise of Japanese music. the style, the form and instrumentation are all Western.I prefer something like this those songs are weird. By the way, this singer below is deaf in one ear.

folk music mainly uses traditional instruments as well as basing the lyrics and that cultures history.. its not weird.. dude
Japanese BENDING themselves to conform to western norms IS weird!
This is the exact reason why I was a Star Wars Prequel trilogy hater for a while. It was the stories that changed that opinion and made them acceptable to me. When Disney's The Force Awakens came out, however, the Prequels became cherished because they still feel like George Lucas Star Wars, and nothing Disney has made does, except Rogue One and I will include Andor in there. The too clean CGI can ruin immersion. It's actually a part of why even today's advanced CGI still feels "fake" - our eyes can still pick up the excessive "cleanness".
My thinking on the Sequels remains the same. The Force Awakens is actually not a terrible film. It was derivative but did set up new characters and I liked its use of physical sets instead of CGI. Unfortunately, The Last Jedi was dreadful and its plot impacts hurt it, hurt TFAs formerly positive impressions and also badly damaged the franchise. Rise of Skywalker I kinda felt sympathy for as Abrams had an impossible task trying to fix the crapfest he inherited from Rian Johnson. He did try to make Rey into a more rounded character but resurrected Palpatine and the wild Force powers were high order loony. This is the exact reason why I was a Star Wars Prequel trilogy hater for a while.
