This one seems to be alittle less clicky. But what is it they say? Variety is the spice of life.

The click here is just a single big one ;)
We tend not to discriminate against members just because they're new...
At Syfy there is a much higher fluctuation and people like to wait to see if somebody is really going to stick around past mansquito status before engaging them.

Which is greatly appreciated. I am also not saying none over there were not friendly , I joined at a very combustive time.Just after the announcement of SGU, and my guns were blazing. But now that it has all settled down. I can see more clearly that there are different clicks. All in all ,both forums are very friendly.

I have never been to SyFy and I have only glanced at Gateworld as I really am not that huge of a zealot fan . It was just SGpoo that urked me so much that I had to join a forum . SGU.S
Now I am here and enjoying myself immensely !!!

I discriminate by gender, have to treat the ladies better, know what I mean?

I don't, does that mean, you don't get into heated discussions with females? Most over there don't feel the same. I have been in numersous ugly ones with many males over there. LOL

But talking about issues about GW (ie. mods, members and even the webmaster) in public threads on Gatefans is perfectly acceptable. http://www.gatefans.net/forums/showthread.php/1360-So-I-was-at-Gateworld... http://www.gatefans.net/forums/showthread.php/1234-Darren-gives-cover-for-SGPoo

I must talk about syfy in private even though my experiences mirror that of a lot here had at GW, with mods actions and the censorship.

you get the same fan loyalty that SGA fans got. It's called the shaft. We got shafted by Brad Wright and you got shafted by a wise business decision that this show is a dead dog.

The difference is SGA is cheesy, low rent american gash. Where as SGU was quality and where the Stargate franchise should be going. A drop in ratings can be associated with a number of reasons NOT because of the show itself. Good on BW for binning SGA. It should stay in the bargain bin with the rest of the other SG programs and focus all the funds on marketing and producing quality series' like SGU.

Aren't SG shows filmed in Canada? And even so, are they not all made by the same people? American or not? This poster is a twit.

Thats the kind of comment that caused much friction in fandom. I think it may have been yourself I had many a convo with on syfy when i took offence when sga was called cheesy. this comment above is why i see a red flag the miniute i see cheesy/camp mentioned.

Ahh, die-hard SGU fans - so predictable. Further proof how far removed they are from reality when they believe SGU is absolute quality, lol.

I'm sure if SGU was "minted", it surely wouldn't have got cancelled after 1.5 years of existence. Doesn't reality suck? SGU is basically a poser and we all know posers are social rejects and it never gets anywhere or amount to anything. One hit wonders, cos they fizzle out like a sparkler.

squees are all babies!

I still say we need to do an age survey of the squees...they are between 12 and 21 I am sure! ;) I have noticed most refuse to give their ages...wonder why?

Possibly because they shouldn't be questioned for enjoying a TV show. Thinking SGU is good or even great doesn't reflect on a person's age, personality or give cause to 'investigate' them.

Actually, you would be surprised how old some of these people are. The average age is over 40 years old.

Come on Rac less of the name calling. Some sgu fans maybe a bit over the top but so are fans from every fandom.
