they also used alot of older FF characters too, I did not care for kingdom of hearts, my kid did, but we are currently playing FF XIII and also played FF X. My how the graphics have improved.

I've never played FF games myself but I think Final Fantasy 1 might do the trick.
Occasionally I love to play old games by the way on my trusty old Amiga emulator.

I actually do have one of those retro game packs of pacman, asteroids, mario...ect. So, yes I completely agree with you. Also , the old ps2 game of gauntlet , still gets played occasionally by my kid.

It's one of the main characters from the Anime Series "Beserk". Awesome show, but not one I could discuss in the general forums as it's a touch umm, "too violent" Has awesome outakes as well.

Yeah my handle "Squall" comes from the FF VIII character. I've played almost every FF made, and some of them have played over many times. I just got done replaying FF XII for like the 4th time.

big FF fan myself. fave is ffVII runner up is VIII, the newest fF game i played was ffx-2 after that i kinda lost the FF bug

10 and 12 were great. 11 was that interactive one, which I hated. The most recent one, 13 was not that impressive, imo. You should pick up 10 and 12 they are worth every penny. They are side-quest galore.

oh i have the collection 1-10 + x2so i know man
imo the sidequests in 8 are the greatest as you can get an uberpowerfull character on disc1 if you play your "crads" right
i love the card game in 8 so much fun turning them into powerfull items and weapon parts 
i allways make sure i have the lionheart blade just before the first edea fight in galbadia, i love slashing her a new one and 7 had sidequests but since they had issues getting it realeased on time they cut a tonne of em ;(
as for 10 i did enjoy it but it still didnt have the same draw as 7 and 8 did for me sure playing blitz is fun but the game felt alittle to.. light imo
you been able to beat penance? i have tried MULTIPLE TIMES i just cant do it i have however besten all the dark aeons cept penace tho
and i havt been able to play 11-12 -13 BC i dont have a console to play em i havnt been able to afford a PS3 yet but prices are falling so soon i might.

there is a difference between an sgu fan and a squee...you know that.
The squees are the ones that annoy me the most. i can respect a "fan"...but the ones who go overboard are the real "squees". here we seem to have fans and those like me who dislike it. the ones that fawn all over it are too over the top for me!

Some folks are asking why I won't be making any new threads for the rest of the eps. Well there is a couple of reasons, some being real life issues, but one of them was "Seizure". I went to bat for SGU and well got hit by the pitch. With no closure to the show, and an undeveloped series, what is the point of seeing what happens when we know the show is not coming back and won't have closure.
I truly feel the arrogance of the Pro-SGU fans and the producers is what has killed not only the show but possibly the franchise.

When the pro-SGU people were saying that the show was perfect, and so much better than the "bubble gum" of SG-1 and SGA, I know it was done. They could have instead just spoken about how they loved the drama and the characters and the darkness and shaky cam and so forth...but they always needed to throw in something like "SGU is awesome and dark and cool.....especially compared to SG-1 and SGA." Always framing the show by real Stargate shows. But they couldnt much do that after the season's ratings fell far below those of SG-1 and SGA for any given season.
By the time Gateworld and the squees had deleted/censored/disappeared all the negative commentary and then enhanced the perception of SGU by lying, exaggerating and outright manipulation, the show was done. The pro-SGU folks killed Stargate by apathy and denial. If they were going for the emo crowd, after they hit age 18 they become more normal and throw out the black makeup and lipstick. Ever seen a 25-year old emo?

SQUALL, Why would JM say on his blog that low rating don't have anything to do with a movie being made? It isn't logical for investors to contribute to a venture that was horrible in the ratings. Less than a million viewer is not good so why would they continue to promote it. I think he is just stirring the pot with his snarky retorts.

Do you mean Mallozzi? I don't think either Wright or Mallozzi have more than a nodding acquaintance with reality these days!
