The thing Sanctuary has going for it is cheapness. When it delivers a 1.4 (or 1.8) it is against a much lower cost per episode so it is profitable.

I know - can't wait!

GO WALTER!!

I saw that too - I went :smiley_squee: I hope that doesn't make him the default host for the slimy escapee tho, since he's the only actor we recognize from the people in the bank. Last week on Hawaii five-o I knew exactly who the bad guy was going to be -
the instant Kevin Sorbo showed up, like, in the first minute of the show - I thought - he's the bad guy! Why else would he be a guest star, if not to have a significant guest role, and what is the usual significant guest role in a cop show? The bad guy!

Another strong episode - Sanctuary slways does these types of restricted set dramas well. And again Kate comes off good - I think they have settled on how they are writing her and I like they way they have chosen.

Even better, next week we get a Tesla episode!

That was one of the good things about "Murder, She Wrote". You really didn't know who the murderer was, because they were careful with their casting.

I liked the episode a lot. I was just shocked to see that Gary's looking a little pudgier than he was. But ya, it gave me warm fuzzies to see him. :)

Oh, and laughed my ass off when Kate demanded Eddie Izzard tickets. Love those pop culture references. Left me wondering if he's a fan.

Did you notice in the preview that our beloved Tesla appears to have his fangs back? I sure hope so. He makes a grand vampire.

They "fixed" Kate!

Okay, they have completely fixed Kate. I actually LIKE her now, and she is no longer annoying. Damn, AT acts quickly, and somebody in the Sanctuary camp knows what works and what doesnt. Tesla without fangs/being a vamp does not work. He needs to be a vamp, just like Edward needs to be a werewolf. Without their abnormal identities, the balance of the characters is lost. But, I would still like Ashley to return!

I also find her to be much less annoying.

One of the very fun things about seeing Sanctuary is seeing some of our favorite actors from Stargate some by for a visit. I had been wondering when we'd see Walter. He finally got to say something more than "Chevron 4 is engaged" <grin> I've always had a soft spot for him (between my ears).

"Murder she Typed??" :D
How fucking old are you guys?? :D

-Sidenote:
Angela Lansbury was great in "bedknobs and broomsticks"
AAAAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!
How fucking old am I. :P
Continue on........................ :)

Two great episodes and another one on the way!

Sanctuary is really putting on a clinic for TPTB. Two great episodes that were extremely entertaining and now I'm left salivating for next week!

I agree, Overmind. Kate's character is taking great steps toward being less annoying and I only have to wonder if AT and the other producers listened to fan feedback and have started to tone her down. Dare I say, that I she was actually likeable?

I, too, still wish Asley was there kicking butt, but for once, I didn't roll my eyes everytime Kate was on the screen. Could this be a trend?

Yes, "Murder, She Declaimed".

47, my dear.

And yes, I loved Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I saw it when it was first released.

Exactly, again Amanda Tapping shows Mallozzi how it's done. You find out about an issue from your fans, verify it and then fix it. This was handled pretty quickly and decisively.

Rethinking my position

I watched the first few episodes of Sanctuary when it premiered and I really didn't like it much. But I have been reading the comments here and you guys seem to like it. I was flipping channels last Friday and the only thing on was Sanctuary. So I gave it another chance, and I loved it. And Walter was there! And Agent Barrett! That was him as the FBI agent right? I'm not going crazy?

I'm not really into vampires, but if the show continues along these lines, they may have gotten me back.

Take that SGPoo!

:joy:

Great episode!

Episode three was great!

No surprises as to who the host was...but it was pretty awesome anyway and I wasn't 100% who it was going to be until the very end. Despite the guest-star casting clue, it wasn't too obvious as to kill all the suspense.

Good pacing, solid writing, and comedy too. The Last Will and Testament bit was hilarious. Looking forward to next week - Tesla's one of my favorites, can't wait!

Oh, you shouldn't have given up so soon. The first few episodes of season 1 were painfully boring, imo. I was literally trying to stay in my chair and not run away from the boredom. However, it got a lot better as things progressed. For me, the second half of season 1 and the first half (along with a few later episodes) of season 2 have been the best of the show so far. Although, this season looks as though it's trying to give those two halves a run for their money. I really enjoyed this last episode. It just goes to show how far a sci-fi show can be stretched with decent writing and acting alone. There was no over-the-top CGI (although, I do enjoy that at times), and no "grit" and "darkness." It was just solid pacing and great character interaction. Just a good time overall.

Fantastic. I might just have another show to watch. Now I regret giving up on it. Have I missed too many episodes or will I be able to catch up?

Don't worry, you've only missed 24 episodes or so, you'll catch up in no time.

It really is a superb show, mark my words :)

The first season is out. Just got mine, finding it to kinda drag. Does it get better? I watched the first season and part of the second still not that into it.
