If this were the first season I would say there would be an increase because Aftermath was a good episode, but there aren't that many people watching on an episode to episode basis anymore, so I think it'll stay the same because Aftermath shouldn't turn too many people away. Then again Riley was a very well liked character, so who knows

There is a very real concern in the past couple years about networks pulling their stuff from sites like Hulu, as they want to "maximize their profits" by selling access with more control. They don't want Hulu to make money on this. They want to be the ones making the money.

Yes, I experienced that when I went to the WB site to finish watching Babylon 5 and it was GONE But I found it on Netflix under instant play, so obviously the internet rights had been sold to Netflix. I know hulu is thinking about charging a minimal amount for "premium" content, like $10 a month. I would probably go for that. I just don't want to pay for crap, and as far as I'm concerned that's what most TV is now. I think the day is coming when people will pay just for the shows or channels they want, and cut out the middleman (cable and satellite companies) entirely.

I own the special edition of "The Dark Knight" but i NEVER watch the DVD, only the Digital Copy which came with it as the resolution is much much better The problem with such a thing is that all of a sudden, advertisements don't work, and tv loses it's original purpose.

What? Entertainment? Nah, TV is all about making money!

Seriously: We don't get the detailed ratings, broken down by C3 segments, so I'm assuming everybody that tunes in to an episode gets counted, even if they give up at some point. Based on that, I believe the sneak previews showing another ship and new aliens will draw the curiosity of at least some of the millions of viewers out there looking for a real sci-fi show. If the episode was bad (I haven't seen it yet or the review), then it'll only reflect on the ratings for the next episode.
For this one I'm expecting an up-tick, and I just want to be on the high end so I can claim victory for anything above 1.85. Similar to your strategy!

The cast and crew of the show = 50 viewers.
Briangate and other Syfy employees = 20 viewers.

Malozzi plus all his closest friends = 1 viewer.
Malozzi's girlfriends = 0 viewers.
BW plus all his closest friends (RCC) = 2 viewers.
Some dude who passed out with his TV on = 1 viewer.
Total = 95 viewers.

I was going to change my prediction up to around 1.0m, but I think last week's episode of NCIS and that show overall is killing SGU. The drama in it is WAY better than SGU, as is the action and the characters. If SGU was real science fiction, that competition might not be there. And pretty soon now, V will be back.

But Im sticking with my 0.89 just because its a wish...and it will come true sometime this season!

Just an FYI...on syfy someone asked last night if the Chlean Miners rescue coverage was going to cut into sgpoo's ratings!


IIRC the neilson box records in 15 min. increments...so if someone watches and then flipps off they are only counted once, they then add all the viewers of each 15 min together, and divide by four for a one hour show. So the guy who flipped only counts for a quarter of a person!

Yeah I admit I got a bit excited when the numbers went way down last week. We get SGoo on Fridays and Saturday here but in the Tuesday slot I watched NCIS as usual followed by "A Thousand Ways to Die" marathon on Spike that they ran. Actually everything else I watch is on DVD.

Chilean miners? Moon eclipse? Only 998 more ways for SGU to die. :sgusucks:

Seriously, I tend to sgree with you on this one. I think SGU will finally go sub-million on one of the next 2 episodes. Pathogen is a good candidate. My prediction: 0.975
