All this negative stuff about SGU's ratings is affecting my mental health. Its all the fault of those insensitive morons at that horrible SGUsucks site. I don't know why they hate me and the best show on the planet right now. It's not like I cancelled thier crappy show about square jawed hero's, it was my beloved PTB that did that because of it's crappy ratings and replaced it with a real scifi show like SGU. Please get them to stop and remove all these offensive posts because I've finished my second box of tissues and all I have left is a straight razor and a box of Maxi-pads. Don't be surprised if the ratings actually increase (Booooooo). But there seems to be a historical trend where they slide for a few shows and then have an uptick (that's what's called a 20% increase in viewers at Gayteworld). Then the downward trend starts all over again.

So we may have to wait until next week for that sub-mill Coup de grâce. But just like the snow here at Stargate command, it's definitely coming. You just wait.

The closer they get to the bottom- that is to say when all that are left are viewers who will basically watch no matter what- the more bouncing around there's going to be just based on random factors. Pretty much all markets are like that. There's a point beyond which the numbers will not fall and as you get closer to that the trend down gets harder to maintain. Like getting down to one's ideal weight or approaching the speed of light- it's easier to go backwards than forwards.

Still, the trend line of decline is still surprisingly steep. If you look at PSW's graphs, we are not yet a a plateau. For that reason, I think we've definitely not hit bottom. Unless something dramatically changes, the numbers are going to fall further, I just am not sure when. So my prediction is just based on the randomness that we'll see as we get closer to the bottom, not that I think people will like the show more this week than last.

I think "Cloverdale" (episode 5) will be the first sub-million episode. The 4th episode "Pathogen" is another Live/Earth episode, which should cause the reduction of viewers for the 5th episode. But of course I would be very happy, if I am wrong and we will get the sub-million episode earlier!

I think you have a good theory here. Nothing less interesting than those Live/Earth episodes. Can't imagine anyone being compelled to tune in the following week after being bored by one of those episodes.

Not only that, but if you plot the trend line they should go sub-million somewhere between episode 25-28.
That would coincide with "Cloverdale".

"Most SGU fans didn't know it was moved to Tuesday". That my friends, right there, is an oxymoron. You can't be a fan, and not know that your favorite show was moved to "Death Becomes Her" Tuesdays. Surely even non watchers of the Sci-Fi Genre know that this pile of crap was moved to Tuesday, by the stink it caused for the last two weeks.

The way SyFy plays with their schedule, I never make the assumption that a show's going to be on the same day it was the previous season.
