Amazing what some even half decent writing can do for an actor :P

Shh! Don't tell that to the folks over at SyFy. ;)

Ming Na is actually GOOD in Agents of Shield. It was hard for me to believe this was the same actress in SGU schlepping around with Elyse Levesque and David Blue :facepalm:. Why would she even accept such a gig? I bet it was because Robert Carlyle was on the list as bait. Her role in that show was downright embarrassing.

She really needs to strike SGU off of her resume. I'm not trying to be snarky here, I'm being quite serious. The character of Wray was simply horrible. There was nothing redeeming about that character as either a hero or a villain.

The writing is the reason. No other thing I can think of. But you are spot on...Wray was horrible. They didn't even use her except for lesbian titillation and as a prop in the other dumb shit going on in that dreary ship.

YAY!

:joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D begins a new story arc starting episode 15, and they have brought in Sif from Asgard! Not just Sif the character, but Sif the character AND the actress who plays her in the big screen Thor movies. :)

They have her appear in a beam of light from the Bifrost, and she actually engages the S.H.I.E.L.D. team to fight another villian of the Realms named Lorelei. She is all Sif, complete with Asgardian dialect and full regalia including her swords. Pleasant surprise! I love the way she tells Coulson that Thor considered him his friend. Also a new development stemming from episode 14, Coulson may have been brought back to life by use of blood from a Frost Giant. ::) Believe it or not, these are not really spoilers. :)

If they do that, they will eliminate the "professional" perception of SHIELD.

The show is on a new level now. There will be regular exchanges going on in the future...they have set that up with episode 15. And this will not be the last of Sif! May and Sif work very well together. They even bonded. :)

So they should, they are both "warrior women".

Perhaps they will make their "TV group formula" really work in the last half of S1, it would be good if they do, because the team as it came "out of the box" was a little weak.

Its the expected ramp up to a cliffhanger (I ASSUME). This will help the series, but they have to keep it up. Like you said, out of the box it was lackluster because the Avengers had come out just before. They made references to it but they did not show us anything like what we got in the movies. In Episode 15, I felt a seamless connection to Avengers.

It wasn't because of the Avengers, it was just a weak team idea. 2 geeks (cool, but they are shallow) the "reformed hacker" (yeah, they got caught, sign me up!!) The pretty boy Agent (Who is all over the shop) and "the Cavalry" (which is a boba fett style cool character) and Coleson (who you link with the Avengers and is pretty cool in of himself).

You make that team Sif, Cavalry, Skye and Coleson and you will make a great team. the rest can be there, they provide balance to all the ladies, but that team would rock it out.

Sif can be the Asgardian who regularly visits the SHIELDS universe and Thor will not be missed. :) She was great in this episode. And there are several SIMULTANEOUS fight scenes going on. You saw it right? I like Ming Na better in this show than in anything I have seen her in to date. I still cant believe how horribly underused she was in SGU.

Sidenote: Stark Industries and Iron Man are noticeably absent in both mentions and presence. It is assumed that the SHIELDS jet was designed by Tony Stark, along with other devices and things. We know that Coulson's Vette was built by Stark and that it can fly. Hulk is in this universe too...where are they? Even mentions? They have been mentioning Thor and the battle of New York since the first episode.

No, I need to wait a bit yet :(
Hence the "spoiler" comment.
