Was it a Sith spirit that impregnated Anakin's mom? For some reason I always tune out during that part of the film.
Not that I am aware of, Tattooine is too far away on the galactic rim to have such a spirit "around".

Just remember the prophecy. "he will bring balance to the force" Hundreds of Jedi pushing their agenda, and but 2 sith at that stage. Killing the Jedi, destroying their powerbase and leaving few left IS bringing balance to the force.

from the SW geeks-----

"Anakin Skywalker was a Force-sensitiveHumanmale who served the Galactic Republic as a Jedi Knight and later served the Galactic Empire as the Sith LordDarth Vader. Born to the slaveShmi Skywalker in 41.9 BBY, Anakin was conceived by midi-chlorians, the symbiotic organisms that allowed individuals to touch the Force"

I remember there is a scene on Tattoine with Qui Gonn and Anakin's mother. She tells him that she basically had a virgin pregnancy and that "something came to her" and she soon found herself pregnant
can't find the scene on YT

According to wookiepedia, soon to be part of new supposed SW canon (post above somewhere) Shmi became pregnant on another world not Tattoine

but whatever, just a throw away thing

Spirits are a reflection of the person they are reflecting, Anakin felt that the robes of a Jedi, a return to the light more accurately reflected his state of being, big deal :P

It shares more in common with fantasy, very true. I do not believe I have said otherwise. It ALSO shares elements of scifi. places like Corusant, spaceships, droids, blasters are definitely in the realm of scifi.

Yes, yes, Star Wars has those "scientific" midichlorians to fall back on. :ronnon_whistling:

Yes, Lucas should have stopped writing after ep 6.
The force does not need a psudo-science explanation.

"Here is the excerpt from the TV Guide report, where Fisher also reaffirms when, exactly, the trio expect to reunite for a new adventure in a galaxy far, far away:

As for the next Star Wars film, Fisher says she, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are expected to report to work in March or April. “I’d like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again — but with white hair,” she says. “I think that would be funny.”

Star Wars creator George Lucas revealed that Fisher, Ford and Hamill were in final talks for Episode VII near the same time that Fisher originally spoke out, so today’s news is about as “surprising” as when Marvel finally confirmed Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen for Avengers: Age of Ultron. At this stage, the 57-year old Fisher and 62-year old Hamill have apparently spent more than 6 months dieting and working out for Episode VII, so no doubt they’re as eager to move forward as everyone else is."

Glad that Fisher and Hamill are back. I like em both; Hamill's pretty great, voiced Joker amongst other voicework.

Damn, I think Luke definitely needs to be in the sequel cause who else is going to rebuild the Jedi Council or some equivalent? He sort of is integral to the continuation of the story. To me, anyways.

Put down the MM and step away from the keyboard. :icon_e_surprised:

She already half looks like a female version of Senator Palpatine. I mean...they arent thinking of dusting off that gold bikini outfit are they? :) And Mark Hamill...the latest pictures of him show he could perhaps play a Hutt...Jabba's little cousin perhaps? OMG, what if they come up with a teen Yoda (same race, different name)..

I don't even want to imagine what they're gonna do to certain characters. And the new ones they introduce will probably be cartoonish. :(

I cant get the image of a new Yoda-race character out of my head. With the actual Yoda dead in the SW canon of the sequels, there is no Yoda to carry forth the Yoda fans. What if they create a Yoda about teen age (for humans) and have him hanging out with teen versions of Jedi? Star Wars will become the new teen stars mill for Disney and spawn the likes of Miley Cyrus, Brittney Spears. How about a tricked out lowered speeder for the kids to gawk at? An otherworldly version of skinny jeans and skateboards might even appear...in that galaxy far far away (but evidently not far enough). :(

It won't go that bad.
I have little faith in JJ to be sure, but I have a little in the SW fans to really go psychotic if they pull a ep 1-3 again.

I have more faith in Kathleen Kennedy than anyone really and Mark Hamill's tirade on going back to a mix of practical and CGI effects. I really enjoyed the original trilogy's aesthetics and just general feel of the atmosphere and props. lol, I've heard the comparison be made that Lucas did to the new trilogy what Jackson is doing in the Hobbit trilogy. Just hope Disney doesn't completely commercialize the movie so they can sell stuff.

If they use the half a brain they have, they should realise that if they make a good movie, the other part of the business will take care of itself, same as it did for the original movies.

http://herocomplex.latimes.com/tv/star-wars-rebels-animated-series-introduces-new-droid-chopper/#/0

"Meet Chopper, the new droid set for a starring turn on Disney XD’s upcoming animated series “Star Wars Rebels.”

Also known as a C1-10P, Chopper, described as a cranky astromech droid who helps staff the starship Ghost, will be among the roster of characters featured in the new show, which is set to arrive in the fall as the anticipated follow-up to “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”

That series, which aired on Cartoon Network, was canceled last year.

Set 14 years after “Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith” and four years prior to the events of “Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope,” “Star Wars Rebels” will center on a core group of characters — with the Inquisitor serving as a major villain tasked by Darth Vader to track down the final remaining Jedi Knights..."

Chopper? Really? I guess it is better than R3D3  Wanna make a bet he appears in the movies too? JJ wouldn't think twice of killing off R2D2 and replacing him with "Chopper". He will probably disassemble C3PO too and replace him with this:
