it's 6:24pm now, so you are 17 hours behind us ATM. If we tee it up for 1pm my time, that's 6pm your time, are you home and set up to chill by then for say 1 1/2?

1 and "1/2"? Episodes? Seasons? :)

1 1/2 hours, 2 eps

Sure! Lets do it. I will set an alarm for 5:45PM so I can set it up. Which episodes? I am going to finish all of season 1 before tonight is out. I am not going in tomorrow so I am very cool with this.

well, watch all of S1, that's fine. If you are home tomorrow, I am basicly free from around midday your time.

Sorry, around 2pm your time.

OMG, I am loving this show so much. :) Its like being able to watch dozens and dozens of Star Wars films. But I really DESPISE Jar Jar Binks, and I hate the way Padme condescendingly "tricks" him and strokes his ego. Dumb ass creature. :( I love the R2D2 in this show...he is badass! Loved the way he dispatched R3 and how he tried to escape using his cleverness. Im still annoyed with Ahsoka. But Jar Jar...

Fortunately, the majority of the show focuses on Kenobi and Skywalker :)

I rewound to episode 7, and Jar Jar just locked himself and 3PO out of the ship cause of a dumbass mistake. :icon_mad:

I found I needed to rewatch the last episode to pick up the story where I remember it well.

Oh dear God please save me.. I am having a VERY hard time watching episode 8, season 1. It centers around Jar Jar and I keep getting up from the couch and going to mess around with the cats or wash the couple odd dirty dishes, while it is paused.

Having said that, I have a question...

If, in Star Wars IV A New Hope, there is no Jar Jar, then that means he is either offworld somewhere and was never seen again after SW III, or...he is DEAD. Im really hoping he dies an honorable death, but I just cant stand the character. Is there SW fan canon or official written canon which tells us what happened to him?

Not that I am aware of, it may happen in the last ew eps we have not seen yet.

Considering he is not in the sequels, and we dont know how Gungans live, his lack of presence is going to have to be explained. That what you get when you introduce things into prequels which are not in the sequels. They cant go on to Star Wars VII without addressing it.

Crawlers JUST turned up this:

And this too:

My night has been made. :smiley_joy::smiley_joy::smiley_joy::smiley_joy::smiley_joy::smiley_joy::smiley_joy:

So, footage was actually made in The Phantom Menace killing Jar Jar off (maintaining the canon), and some bright bulb decided to cut the scene and keep him going?. That clip is so satisfying...I cant even splice it into my copy without ruining my handiwork by seeing him in II and II. :(

Jar Jar dying? Stay with me here dude....:P

I am watching Clone Wars, I have posted two pics of Jar Jar being pummeled or killed because I hate him in this show, and now I find out that there was a clip which showed him getting killed and it was made by the filmmakers themselves. I did not even know this until I sent the crawler out. I was looking for it in some fan fiction or something, but the crawler immediately came back with that. :)

That is the context.

I don't mind Gary Oldman but I'm not for Zac Efron in anything, ever. I didn't mind him until just recently when he started acting and looking weird after being outed for being a druggie. His peeps claim he went to rehab for alcohol but it's obvious it was for something much worse as evinced by his altered mental state and jacked-up looks. Just saw him on Ellen and he wouldn't look at the camera. There was definitely something wrong with the dude, which is a shame because he could have had an amazing career and life but now his little brain is messed up for good. And so is his face, which doesn't look the same as it did a year ago. Supposedly he broke his jaw, but God knows why that happened and quite honestly I don't care.

In short, the dude is a freak and needs to stay the hell away from Star Wars. The franchise has enough problems without intentionally adding to them.

I have decided to stay away from this movie. JJ Abrams does not equal good story telling and the last thing I need is the Death Star redone with a giant lens flare shining out of it and tons more shaky cam.

Not only that but, because this is pure fantasy, he can go completely "Lost" with his bullshit story line.

Me too. I will definitely see it, but I am not going to wait in any lines, and I may not even bother seeing it in the theater at all. JJ Abrams and Michael Bay are high energy hacks IMO. They both do flashy, loud, fast paced action well. But neither can tell a story. In the case of Star Trek, JJ got equally hacky writers like Orci and Kurzmann to ruin it but good. I doubt any thinking writer would want to take a back seat to JJ's roller coaster lens flared up style.

For Star Wars, he already has the hyperspace effect down pat, having switched Star Trek's ships to the same effect in 2009. And R2D2 has already been put in Star Trek ITD as an easter egg. Im not gonna pay to see anything more from JJ. But I will gladly download it for free and then come here and complain about it. :anim_59: :smiley-money-mouth:

OMG...I just started watching The Clone Wars, and I really really like it a lot. :) Good storytelling. I have watched the first 4 episodes, and Im hooked. :)

Thanks to those who recommended watching it. :shep_wave2:

So now you get the "non cartoonish cartoon" thing? :winking0052:

Hey OM, would you merge the SW REBELS thread with this one? Some of us are putting rebels stuff there and some are putting it here-might as well put them together
