Well.............
I suppose the "value" of any subcription based thing is weather *you* find value in it isn't it?
Some people play a game for a month, give it up because they finish it and then buy a new game every month for 50 bucks, so there is that........
And really, the "model" has existed in the Roleplaying industry since it's inception some 30 years ago. You create the game and then create what are fondly known as "splat books" every month or so anyway, so for roleplayers, this is hardly a new concept.

I don't have an issue with it. If I like it enough. I am just a wee little Noob for Wow, but I like to do fun things and Wow seems like it might be fun. There are much more expensive types of fun, so Wow should hopefully save me in the long run.

AMEN to that! And who needs to gamble when there are so many slot machines, poker games, roulette wheel apps and such on Droid? I think that getting a million dollars and buying the yacht in Slots Royale feels almost like the real thing! :) Besides, what the hell would I do with a REAL yacht? :icon_lol: But I do have an issue with a monthly fee for it...if it wasnt $15.00 I would consider it. At that rate, its almost double what I pay for Netflix, which I use ever day several times per day. I dont like the idea of paying for a game over and over long after I have bought it.

If you want to take a break from the game, you can do that. Your characters won't be deleted from the servers. Just cancel your account and it'll be playable until the end of your particular billing cycle. It's not like they're going to take the ball with them if you decide you have other things you'd prefer to do in the interim.

Sounds Good, I am not sure of the name of my realm. I might have to make another one to find you.

I tried, but could never get into The Big Bang Theory -- but then, I've never been much of one for sitcoms.

If you're on their realm, you type (for example) /who edwindrood and if they are in the same faction as you (Ed is Horde, not Alliance), it'll tell you if s/he is online at that time, so you can message them.

If you have a trusting enough relationship with a friend to share email addresses, you can enter their email address into the RealID area of your Friends list (type O on your keyboard) and you'll see whenever they are online, what realm they are on, and what character they are on. This also enables you to group with your friends in the same battlegroup across realms for random dungeons.

Too much information?

No that is great, but you type what?

The word "who" or something else?

I am graybrew. Do I type" graybrew/edwinrood" or something else?

No, you type

/who edwindrood

The slash, then "who", then the name of the person you're trying to find.

I'm on...

Quel'Dorei as Edwindrood, McStupid, Shinyknife and Ahou
Frostwolf as Konchuu and Oujou

I've got a few toons on other realms, but none that I play regularly. These are all Horde toons.
