OM1, I believe the original movie Stargate had each chevron locking, instead of just the 7th chevron in SG-1.

And I prefer SG-1 Stargate, there's something so cool about smooth stone, plus you can use a DHD, have a shield, use a Puddlejumper DHD interface and manually dial out, SGA's one looks pretty but you can't manually dial out in an emergency. SGU is just lame-ass so unimagination... it's like bad mould.

Ahh, but can you actually use a PJ's interface to dial in the MWG?
I can't remember ever seeing it. I thought when John left the SGC in the PJ, the SGC dialed the gate.
Hmm, they may have done it in "the return", but if the symbols are "galaxy specific", how did it dial a MW gate?

I think I like the Destiny gate the best visually, I like it better when its lit up, tho. The Atlantis gate I liked because it looked high techy, and Atlantis as a whole felt more science fiction-like than the other two shows. The SGU gate looks old-timey and victorian, and I like the change from the previous shows.

I do like the SG-1 gateroom the best, reminds me of a cold-war bunker, and I loved the computer consoles, machine guns, malps, uavs and missle launchers that would occasionally pop up. Plus the blast doors, the three levels over looking the gateroom. All the little things made it a lot more alive

Aye the SGC would dial the gate and forward the macro onwards to Midway. However in "Moebius" (Part 2), they did have the MW gate symbols on the alt. universe Puddlejumper which was cool.

In "The Return", Rodney got Weir to flirt with Bill (talking about WoW, lol), while Rodney bypassed the security commands and loaded a program for remote dialling when required.

EDIT:

I see XCVG mentioned about "Moebius".
