Enjoyed Season one
First no one knows about abnormals and they kindva clean evidence so the general public doesn't suspect now having abnormals in plain view is the norm. Loved Ashley, but after she left I realized that their were so many story lines that could have been played off of a child with two abnormal parents that it just got boring. Canceled the syfy channel so I'm behind the times.

The episodes are all available on the net so you needn't miss out on any regardless of cancelling your SciFi subscription. You've just got to know where to look. Season three is due for kick-off in 11 days by the way.

Nope, we'll have to wait an extra 2 1/2 weeks...
SciFi pushed backed the third season to Oct. 15, 10pm after wrestling. So it's back to Friday nights. Personally, I'm glad that it's away from the stench of SGU.

Yeah, I did the same thing. I canceled my entire cable because the only reason I had it was to get SciFi Channel (and Stargate). First they changed to Syfy, then they canceled Stargate and gave me a soap opera only "called" Stargate. So, I canceled in November of last year and get everything streaming or downloaded. Time to catch up on Sanctuary!
I agree with the others here who say that the "energy" of Stargate has somehow shifted over to Sanctuary. The humor, the pace of the episodes, the writing style, the cool effects, and ESPECIALLY the TEAM CONCEPT and the loyalty bonds between these people. The sense of adventure and also exploration is there. So is a mythology and the backstory of the characters. I would LOOOOVE to see one of those fish people floating around in one of those tanks in the Sanctuary in the background!

Yeah, no. Nothing will make me want to watch that. While I despise the thought of having wrestling on a science fiction channel, the stupid ass storylines on wrestling are WAY more entertaining than SGU.

Definitely the vibe of early Stargate, just with abnormals and I'm enjoying the ride. I just hope there will no more Bollywood inspired episodes.

I agree about that silly Bollywood stuff...
I have nothing against Bollywood in general, but it was just painful to watch that silly dance number - it was completely out of place. My jaw dropped in disbelief that they actually went there. Judging from the finale, I'm a little nervous there may be more Bollywood dancing...since now that spidey is on the loose, how are they going to calm her down other than dancing for her?? Since shooting her seems difficult, right? Dunno. Well, I hope they find another way...because that dancing was just ridiculous.
I enjoy Sanctuary overall, it is fun. But I do find it a little inconsistent at parts. For example, some episodes give the impression that abnormals are basically common knowledge (like that episode with the walrus man living up in Canada somewhere with "regular" people), and then in other episodes it is all a big secret.

I believe the Walrus man was living in a secluded community, so remote that there was little chance of anyone who didn't already have knowledge of abnormals just wandering around and running into them. Or at least, that's the story my mind has made up to justify it...
Why they made Beckett's character so damn annoying is beyond me.
I, too, have nothing against bollywood. But maybe not in a season finale, or not with a silly looking dude who can't dance. The look on his face when he was dancing!!! That was just too much. I'm hoping that since Kali is awake, she's SO OVER the dancing. Any more bad dancing would just make her nuke the planet.
So stay AWAY from the dancing, Sanctuary, unless it's done by professionals.

I'm going have nightmares tonight. I thought I had purged that from my eyesockets. But it's back! If your phone rings in the middle of the night, it's me because I'm not going to be able to sleep.
I like my cheesiness in small slices. Like the abnormal in the Sanctuary that who is actually two people and will talk nicely to Will one minute and then spin around and the "mean" part of him will say something. Those are the perfect bits of cheese/levity that I like in this show.
BUT THAT FACE!!!!
