In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone's imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question - Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as "Superman," not only to shine as the world's last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

it is a composit image but i must say i dig the suit and its rumored that the suit doesnt feature the the draws. (which is a good thing imo)

indeed same here and from what ive read besides this (CGI comunity roumors and buzz) this movie will be and look pretty good.
i also couldnt stand small(vile) for like you said at first it was romance teen drivel then now at the end it had turned into super cheepo superhero crap with romance :puke:

also the last superman movie was it "returns?" i really didnt like that as it felt weak and the dude was soo wrong for the part of kal'el imo

anyway hopefully this new one will focus more on his ALIEN nature with some sweet SCI FI blended in and less of the cartoony superhero "superman" everyone knows i guess we'll see but like i said the buzz is good.

it will be great if there is actually a plot...superman II was the last one with an actual understandable plot !:P I did love lois & clark for what it was...fun flufff, but the last few attempts at superman movies have fallen flat for me. I will TRY to not think of superman/clark as Albert from The count of Monte Cristo (love love LOVE that movie!!)...he has grown up quite a bit since then. :)

i agree.

and i admit i did enjoy lois and clark myself but i was VERY young at the time :P

he was a teenager...or at least the character was a teen(16 I think) -- even then I thought he was going to be very striking looking as he aged. ;) did he get any taller though?

It was fun a few times but yeah, they overdid the romance/emo parts and teeny bopperish stuff.

normally i would agree with you but imo after smallville and the returns we need something new and something that tells the story of an alien instead of a superhero romance buy..
