I'm sorry, but I believe in ACTUAL equality. Don't get me wrong, Chivalry is not dead in the GF house, I do all those things for Mrs GF but by CHOICE, not because of some "system" demands it. After all, the same system says women cannot work, are inferior and are nothing more than trophies and baby machines...........

ALL of that and then some Most women take it as a (pleasant) surprise. Always stand when a guest enters the room who has not been introduced, pull chairs out for women, offer your coat when she does not have one and it gets cold out (that one usually allows me to score on the first date ). The one that changed is ASSUMING that she wants me to pay for every meal. Can you f-ing believe that some women find that one insulting?

Chivalry is NOT dead. Most guys from our generation and before, are familiar with it.

It is complete nonsense to say that "well I was taught rule a and rule b. rule a says do this (proper and moral thing) for this category of person but rule b says that I can take a crap on them as well." One should instinctively know that rule b is ludicrous and out of the question but does not devalue rule a.

Back to the thread. I watched Iron Man 1 and 2, Avengers, Thor and Cpt America. Despite what I previously thought, all of these movies are well made and written EVEN THOUGH they are from comics. I mean, it could easily be tossed aside and say "their comic book movies for kids" and never watch them. These movies are not like that.

IMO, though Iron Man doesn't really fit the group. Thor is basically an alien; CPT America is a result of what started out as NAZI super men experiments; the Hulk is a radiated freak. Iron Man is just a result of one smart man who developed some kick ass tech. Stuff that isn't that far out of the borders of reality.

They have been lucky to get good writers, and I think the luckiest one they had was Staczynski for Thor. Thor could have totally muffed the concept, simply because of it's mythological basis. Fortunately, he was a good enough writer to handle it, and Kenneth Branagh was a good enough director to handle the "shakesperian language" and style to not make it come of totally "campy".

IMO, though Iron Man doesn't really fit the group. Thor is basically an alien; CPT America is a result of what started out as NAZI super men experiments; the Hulk is a radiated freak. Iron Man is just a result of one smart man who developed some kick ass tech. Stuff that isn't that far out of the borders of reality.

Iron man is the "everyman", the glue that holds the freaks togeather to an extent. He sorta got sidelined in that role at the end of Avengers in the big action sequence when they hand it to Cap, but I think that shows the fact that Stark "grew" a bit in the movie. He's Charismatic, but he is not a real leader.

THIS. I have never heard of Iggy Azalea. I made it through exactly 42 seconds of that first video before I turned it off. And the second one I wont bother because of the skanky snapshot preview of the video. I like hot babes, but not skanky ones.

I figured as much--that she was only popular in the US and then only with the "nasty" rap crowd. I found her video by linking to "recommended videos" on YT.

I was watching something else older from Australia (INXS maybe?) and the silly YT protocols or whatever gave recommendations for similar music AND other Australian people.

First one I went to was a woman named "Havana Brown" an Aussie DJ turned "singer". I was intrigued by her name. That vid led to the "pussy"

Did you ever see the series "Rockstar Supernova"? Reality TV in the vein of the voice or X factor, but focussed on finding a new lead singer for INXS. I did not like the person they ended up with (I preferred the Aussie guy, which makes sense) or Dilana (now there was someone OM would hate, all peircings and tatts , but damn could she sing)
