I think it's going to be awfully soon now.
It's been at least four weeks with a .4 and no rise in the demographic.

I'm hoping for a holiday gift in the form of a schedule change announcement with no SGU on the schedule. How about the second half of Eureka season 4 instead?

I think it has probably been de facto cancelled by the latest ratings on an episode where the last ditched feeling was that there would be some kind of significant uptick and it was basically the same as before, everyone knows the score. But I doubt we'll hear before the last eps of 2.0 have aired, and maybe they'll stretch it into January the way they kept stringing Caprica along for months when it was clear that baring a miracle resurge it was gone. So my vote is January.

I don't think they will pull the episodes, that's very unusual for Syfy to do that, with Caprica I think that was because NBCU was attempting to up the DVD sales in December. However I don't expect to see SGU in any prime spot in 2011 either.
Actually I'm expecting to get the renewal/cancellation announcement for both Sanctuary & SGU at the same time. If we only hear about Sanctuary at that time then I'll take that as a "We've cancelled it but we won't make it official for a while till we round up some other big news to cover it up".

Sanctuary appears to be one of Siffy's more successful shows at this time.
It's truly a pity they can't pay attention and see what actually works and attracts viewers.
Sanctuary, Eureka (though I'll miss Dr OldSpice), SG1, SGA...
Nope, they'd rather feed us shit and try to tell us it's ice cream.

Just blows my mind that they were so determined to move away from a working franchise. It's not like it was a question of money as they spent tons on SGU. And Sanctuary has proven that you don't need a ton of sets and locations to make a show cheaply and successfully. How TPTB couldn't see that is beyond me, truly.

I agree. Throwing money at a show but using their lame tactics of picking successful aspects of various shows and just lumping them all together with little to no plot just results in the crapfest that is SGU.
Oh and BTW even though Sanctuary is cheaper to produce than SGU, it does not mean that it is cheap. In Season 2 the Sanctuary PTB were saying that similar shows had about $500,000 more per episode budget and this Season they said that Sanctuary had a budget roughly two thirds of Caprica and SGU.
