I posted this on another similar story. The sentiment's the same.

The countdown clock is running on those two year contracts. The fact they are spooling up new shows ready to kick SGU's sorry shakey-cam ass off the air is good news. Maybe Wright and Mozz can develop Barney Lost in Space for that younger demographic they were so intent on capturing.

I'm waiting to hear those words - "Didn't perform as expected".

Hi, ive seen the two year thing before, where did that come from? its just, i see a lot of fanboys dispute any such thing and im hoping there is an interview or screenshot somewhere confirming sgpoo got two years in the bag before it started.

I also think we will see that phrase bannded about when sgpoo hits the dumpster.

I can`t wait for the day SGU finally gets cancelled. The sooner the better.:joy:

That's a good question about a 2 year contract. Sort of Urban legend. Any basis in Mallozzi? But who would guarantee anyone a contract for any show beyond 2 years? If it tanks first episode like SGU you want to exit as fast as possible. But if you get a hit like X-Files (which apparently didn't do terribly great season 1) you want critical actors locked in so you can carry on production.

BTW who is that in the avatar? Is it supposed to be Darrin and Dumbo? :icon_twisted:

Also, yes, im convinced it was in one of BW's interview or jms blog something like a choice bewteen one year of atlantis or two of universe....unsure he may have only hinted at it. but if hinting at things is good enough for the entire plot of sgpoo thats good enough for me :icon_e_wink:
