On September 24, 2017, Star Trek Discovery will air it's first episode. We plan to watch it and then come here and review it over tea (or beer or pot) that night. Let's go over how it should be done:
Your first free week does NOT obligate you to more weeks or months. If you do decide to keep it, it will be $5.99/mo for limited commercials (lol) and $9.99 for commercial free. There is NO WAY that I will be paying for this service after that first week, but I just want to let you know how they have set it up. It's explained at the link. During that week, you will be able to download the app for the phone and watch on there or a tablet, plus your TV. You DO have to put in your credit card to start the free trial, but you can easily cancel. I would like for anyone to take a look at the conditions here and tell me if this is actually saying that even if you cancel, you will still be billed for a month?
*All subscriptions will automatically renew for monthly and/or annual periods as applicable, and your credit card will be charged in advance of each billing period unless cancelled. New subscribers are eligible for a trial period prior to their first renewal. If cancelled, termination of access will be effective the billing cycle following termination. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and are subject to change. Other restrictions and taxes apply. You may cancel the promotional period or subscription at any time from your account management page or by calling 888-274-5343 Monday to Sunday 8 am to midnight EST.

I plan to set my free week up on Sept 22 so that will cover the episode plus give me a couple of days to cancel.
Anybody interested in participating?
