Ratings Predictions

Evidently, in the past, he has been fairly accurate in predicting that ratings go up when the forum traffic goes up and down when traffic is down.
I'd also note that there seem to be more people viewing the SGU section on GW (around 550 people at the moment) than last week at this time.
So maybe Brad W's rants had that old "any publicity is good publicity" effect afterall.
But who knows, we'll see tomorrow I guess. I doubt the ratings will be down, just hope they don't go up much or stay the same.
That is just how he decides what his ratings prediction is going to be. He's no paul the octopus.

Its hard to judge but with only this ep and 3 more can they increase the average that much? people checking the boards doesnt mean they will watch the show, there probably looking for more quotes from BW :icon_e_wink:. also last week Brian said traffic was up 10% and was expecting an increase only it got a sub million ep instead (the lowest rated i think?)

Seriously though, perhaps it could still go down because for the first time in a while, we get mostly eye candy with the ships and the cool CGI and "technobabble" that the drama fans of SGU would hardly consider dark or gritty. Perhaps it will backfire on the ratings after all?
Somehow though, I dont get the correlation between forum traffic and ratings. I never ran to a forum if I watched an episode of SG-1 or Atlantis that I liked.

That is an interesting point! Say What? I thought the higher prediction was closer. Problem now is with ratings being so close to 1 we have to go to 3 or 4 significant digits. Oh well, I guess I'll have to go and congratulate myself.
Technical note - I figured on a slight up tick and at the time I entered I had the highest estimate. That was before all the Be Wrong baloney and spin. Think I'll play my number again. It's not like it's going to get any better.
