SGU 2x11 Deliverance:

Total viewers, 1.036 million.
A18-49: 0.45
HH: 0.6

(source: MediaSav. I'll post the official numbers when they come in)
With such numbers I don't see how sgu could get it's wrap up movie or miniseries. That just confirmed sgu was not what people or SG fans wanted so how could they want sgu movie so how sgu movie could be a success so how BW and co could fund it?

I was going to say the ratings do not matter either way as long as they're not near the 1.7-1.8 million live viewers needed for a possible reevaluation of the cancellation, but you are right: very low numbers should wipe out any hopes of a movie, mini-series or whatever BW was planning and SGU fans wishing for... if there ever was any.

Well, realisticly it still has a chance to revive (however small), but if more numbers like this continue, the greater pressure is put on the other eps to somehow make up the difference.

Will have to see how next week progresses so we can work out a trend. In the past, SGU's new season and mid-season premiere ratings number were always higher than their respective finale and mid-season finale ratings, but this time with 2.5, the figure actually dropped, says something.

Hey, I have the exact for BAMSR which was 1,990,000 million viewers Live+SD, The lost Tribe ep 511 had just over 2 Million viewers.

I noticed a lot of your posts were deleted on gateworld... and then KEK accuses of "trolling".

No doubt! :P

@heisenberg, I do wonder what happened to the 58,000 viewers that watched "Resurgence" but chose to sit out on "Deliverance". Maybe they realised that the show does anything but deliver.

I am sure, the number will drop next week.

Well I'm happy

I predicted 1.09 thinking that the mid-season premiere would maybe bump up a bit, but I'm thrilled that I was wrong. :D

And if an episode where they clearly spent some money (space fight scenes, CGI, SFX, etc.) can't do well then there's little chance anyone will invest in a movie or movies as it clearly would be a huge waste.

I always get posts deleted on GW, it is a common thing. The best part is, most of those posts are ok on Syfy.com, that is the part that scares me.

OK, now it's official

.
SGU 2x11 Deliverance (03/07/2011):

- 1.035 million viewers
- 0.6/1 HH
- 0.5/1 A18-49

BTW, although the total number of viewers sucks, the dem isn't that bad.

You're wrong IMO, MediaSav. The cancellation did make a dent on the ratings. Only it was offset by other factors such as: 2nd part of a cliffhanger, mid-season premiere and virtually no competition.

Next week's ratings will show us how many people really gave up on SGU after hearing about the cancellation (as well as reflect how much they liked this episode).

I don't think that's what she meant dude, more that the numbers themselves were on thier face "statisticly the same"

Simply put my friend- being human got them a decent lead-in audience and the ones who fell asleep in front of the tv will simply go to bed next week! :P

Considering SG-1's and SGA's mid-season premieres always saw a spike, I'd say the interest in SGU is pretty much the same, not too much.

Yep but why did that happen? did the dvr numbers for those eps drop and the live increase or did they just get extra viewers for those eps. Thats what I find strange. the numbers were good not great for SGA but the dvd sales are great (imo) people are still buying them even now its above sgu in the amazon table. Why wasnt sga's numbers higher?

Hey, Well the coverage rating is a 0.6! Atlantis had around a 0.7 to 0.8 coverage rating in the 18-49 demo.
Since when are we comparing SGU to SGA? I thought SGU was to be measured against Sanctuary, Merlin, Caprica...

Oh, wrong website :P
