Theoretically them vamps are lightning fast so she could have escaped the same way Helen and Tesla did without having been seen.
That's not the feeling I got from the episode though. I think they wanted the queen to be dead.

So you don't think the cut scene right before the explosion could be a hint that she escaped? If she did not, then how could have any of the other possible Queen's survived?
I liked The B storyline, but I would like to see Kate start to really shining through on the assignments like she did in the beginning. Last couple of eps it felt like she was around as a bit of a Tesla snark replacement.

Not at all. I think it's the old recourse of leaving all doors open in case they decide to move that story forward. The way the episode ended, the writers can claim either that she's dead or not and get away with it. Sort of like they kept doing with Ford in SGA until they ran out of ideas for episodes with him.

BTW, I gave the episode an A for the main plot and a C for the side plot. Kind of agreeing with Stoneless here...

I'm not saying she is definitely alive, I was just saying they left it open. And if she was and they took it back to Hollow Earth in a couple week's all the better.

I give it a B, it was a good positive move forward but not all the way back yet.

I agree there should be. If D is 'didn't like it' then E should be 'flawed episode' or something. i.e. a pretty bad episode but it has at least one redeeming feature unlike F grade. Emancipation would be F grade.

There isn't an E grade in the American school system (or at least there wasn't), probably because "E" is used to abbreviate for "Excellent". "F" makes more sense as short for "Fail", since it is usually the failing grade.

I've once learned that in Germany they use the numbers 1 to 10 where 1 is the best grade and 10 the worst. Is this true?

actually 1.0 is the best grade and 6.0 the lowest - go figure that one out! With kids already growing up with that, it's no wonder German products and services are so "user friendly"...
