What a clean, functional looking ship! Safe to assume that the midsection spins? The design looks like we might be able to build something like it in say...50 years.

unlike ape you figured it out! yes it does
and indeed had the idea of having it look battle-shippy while still retaining that functional White-ish NASA look and keeping it realistic with the centrifical force gravity thing.
