Battle: Los Angeles

I was browsing through the videos of youtube for the specific and only awesome moment in Skyline when I found this.

The movie looks based around the same idea as we've seen before, Unknown Aliens are invading Earth, but the twist on the movie here is that is isn't about Rich kids running away (Skyline) or stereotypes fighting stereotypes (Independence Day) but is in fact based around a USMC Platoon fighting the aliens.

It looks interesting I hope they manage to pull something off that isn't as trite or stupid like in the movies mentioned above. (Also the main website for the movie is kind of creepy http://www.battlela.com/)

I really like Michelle she's a good actress and I liked in the fast & furious where she gave the guy her money with the middle finger, cool.
Also I think she would be a real laugh to hang out with.

Looks good. I've only heard good things about the movie unlike "Skyline" and garbage like that. Here's hoping the ending isn't a gigantic FAIL. Fingers crossed.

I love that premise...aliens invading earth. They are getting better at portraying it, with V and this movie, at least. Skyline was horrible to me (the story), but the effects were a showcase of CGI which was impressive. This one has a more realistic look to it, sorta like District 9 did. Cant wait!

This does look like it is getting better. Here is the (I think) 2nd trailer for this movie, doesn't really show much only maybe a couple of additional frames but still it does the job very well.

One thing I have noticed from watching the trailers and going through the websites is that the aliens are for some reason landing near to water as if it is part of their function of their natural environment or even perhaps a fuel source (converting hydrogen). Anyways I was just speculating for a moment there.

Nope, aliens invading earth we know isn't the most unique thing however if you look at the trailers it is the most exciting as the aliens engage in a ground war and we see it from the perspective of soldiers not civilians or idiots. However as to War of the Worlds we don't know, that and ID4 did have the theme of 'viruses' being the downfall of the aliens themselves. Battle: Los Angeles looks like it might go down the path of, humanity be ******. But we won't know until its out.

The music is done by Johann Johannasson 'Sun's gone dim' and no I very much doubt Frou Frou would be involved in trailer music

Possibly, but only through fucking epic battles on the scale of Halo with dozens of Marines needed to take on even a few Elites.

Actually i see this movie as Crysis. Alien invasion using robotic drones, our weapons are only marginally effective. We don't have anything near the level of articulation as a combat mech and it'd be damned hard to hold back that using foot soldiers.

Watching the trailer though... uhh.... creamed myself. *drools and licks the screen*

Yes. It sucked. As bad as Skyline. The movies starts right in the middle of what you'd call "action" and ends just as suddenly after a few deaths of main characters you couldn't possibly have given a shit about.

Battlefield: Los Angeles

If you liked Skyline, you will definitely love Battlefield: Los Angeles.

If, like me, you found Skyline to be an utter piece of shit then bring a barf bag to the movie theater because, the moment you realize the money could have been better spent on a burger or a bottle of shampoo, you'll feel sick and need a receptacle to catch your puke.
