It's a well crafted, well put togeather, rational show, I am just not a fan of what it is about.

If I'm not mistaken, next ep will be brutal and you actually see some cooperative synergy between Hood and Procter. It's odd watching Hood play his double standard. He's a crook pretending to be a cop who still pulls off robberies but will not sell out to Procter.

Tonight was the first slow ep of the series. We spent 1/2 the ep fantasizing romance that isn't. You'll see what I mean when you get here.

I tried, but not my thing. I did watch the first 8-9 episodes and it is really well written and done, just, not for me.

You managed to watch the entire first season minus one episode. It's too bad you couldn't get into it. Season 2 was fantastic. :)

Have you watched any episodes of Strike Back?

I am not a fan of Hood as a character, nor am I a fan of the settings, the dealings of the characters and such of the show. My only submission is that the characters are very well written, the storyline makes sense and if you were interested in the background it would be a show to watch because in that sense, it IS good. I just have no interest in watching such a character exploration in TV format

No, I don't think we have seen many eps out here and it is not the kind of show to hit my "radar" (like Banshee really, I only gave it a go on your suggestion)

I get that. It's a show you'll either really like or dislike. Hood is a complex character, a criminal who "accidentally" becomes sheriff of Banshee. I love the character development, watching the guy's conflicting morals as he struggles between being a thief and getting sucked into being a real cop. The story that unfolds around him, his past, his friends from the old life, is brilliantly written.

Strike Back is a completely different show, though. It's your typical good guys vs bad guys type show centering around an elite UN force called Section 20 specializing in high-profile counter-terrorism. This is another show I absolutely love.

I liked the season final, it rapped up all the questions of the 2 seasons nicely. Can't wait for the next season, seems that Hood will have his hands full.

I found it odd they ended both seasons on Rabbit even though he was barely a footnote in S2. I'm curious to see how things unfold with Procter next season. They can't just stretch that hatred and need to retribution across several seasons. I have a feeling they may come up with some way to get Procter and Hood back into that strange zone they were in prior to the kid getting his head taken off.

I think Procter's niece will play a roll in getting Hood and Procter back to that ground. Rabbit should have been killed off at the end of last season, the organization still is around to be the villain in the shadows.

Well, i feel silly. I just realized that Rabbit, played by Ben Cross, also played new Spock's dad. :icon_lol:

Alright, finished season 2. It was alright in some regards, and they finally got rid of that dude. The one thing I absolutely hate about Hood is the fact that he has banged almost every chick on the show. If he didn't find out Dana was his kid, I bet he probably would have banged her too. I used to like that chick cop. Now I find it hard to, not cause she's a bad person, just banging the Kirk of Banshee just lessens her in my eyes. I was waiting for him to bang black lawyer too, maybe next season.

One thing that pissed me off was all the times they would have him look up at normal every day events and things but those things happen in slo-mo. As if they're trying to depict an introspective moment when he has those moments. It's so damn annoying. Seriously, if you drank a shot for count the number of times they have such scenes in an episode, you'd probably have to go to the hospital. It pissed me off.

Also, the convenience of all the shit they do on the show and get away with it but when black cop fucks up one time, he gets gunned down. Nice. Think black people on this show are like black people on the Walking Dead, meant to fill out quota. I don't have a problem nor am I an advocate for placing as many non-white people on a show if it doesn't fit with the show. My only problem is when you do it as if to fill a quota. But eh, they have lots of other diversity in this show anyways.

That entire last episode with the rabbit hunt; those thugs apparently took target lessons from Stormtroopers. Jeeeeez.

Eh, I'm finding it harder and harder to care for any of the characters which makes me see the flaws more so. But eh, lets see how next season goes.
