Hi, y'all, got a little question about the ratings.The comments I've read about the demo (0.5) seem to be to be what people are happy about. What's so special about the demo being like that?
DEMOgraphics...the group thay are trying to reach. That would be those aged 18-49, the "magic demo" as it is referred to.

L+7 is usually a month wait, if we get them at all. Don't forget that the ratings WE get are "L+SD", so the are the DVR numbers from the original air time to *supposedly* 24 hours later viewing time (which is really more like L+12 honestly).Hehe, I've been here for a while, actually.
One more thing, when can we expect DVR and L+7 numbers?

Wait, I've never heard of L+12. I know Fringe gained like a 52% or 53% increase in the ratings when... what was it... the L+7 or DVR numbers came out.

L+7
what gets reported to us is the "live plus DVR recordings for the next 24 hours". The reality is however that they are reported some 16 hours later, not 24 hours, and of those 16 odd hours, most US folks are asleep. I Just pulled the "+12" figure from nowhere to give a idea on what really happens, it's not a real figure at all, If L+24 is easier to deal with, then just stick with that. (I like to "pick nits"

So, out of curiosity, I went to TVBTN and checked out it's article on Haven being renewed, and one dude asked this- "But if they renewed this with a .5, then Sanctuary should be good as well, right?"
Not trying to compare Sanctuary to Haven, I jujst thought I'd bring that up since both shows got a demo of 0.5. I've noticed people are more happy with the demo Sanctuary got, which is the same Haven, 0.5, and I read on Gateworld that because of it’s 1,380,000 rating, it had a 4.2% above the Syfy primetime weekly average of 1,325,000.
So for the time being, that's good.
