I bet it is.
Since I quit smoking (both cigarettes and Mary Jane) I've gained about 30kg.
I am not tempted though to give this one a try.
kg = kilogram - a metric measurement for weight used in most countries.
1kg = 2.2 lbs.
1000 milligrams = 1 gram
1000 grams = 1 kilogram
1000 kilograms = 1 metric ton
LOL, I know Americans prefer the old' English Imperial Units. Not where I live but thanks!
So 2.2 x 30 = 66 lbs.
Stone, you might want to try that meth...

I don't see why U.S don't change over. You guys use a similar basis with your currency anyway - 100 cents = 1 dollar. Unless you guys like working in fractions.Jimmy Carter tried to switch us over but his efforts were an epic fail. We still use metric stuff in our science classes, but that confuses the hell out of everyone and probably explains why we lag behind the rest of the world these days.

Ironically in UK roads we still use mph for the speedometer, miles and yards for road distance signages. Except I have no idea how far a yard is, so you know I'm completely clueless when signages state distance in yards, lol.

I'm guessing a yard is about 2,6 metres but I really have no idea. I bet wikipedia will know.
How many inches are in a foot? How many feet are in a yard? How many yards are in a mile?
How the frak does anybody calculate distances accurately with that system?
12 inches per foot. 3 feet in a yard. A yard is a little less than a meter.
Okay, say you have a system of pipes, but there's a piece of 9 yards missing.
You have a piece of pipe of 13 feet.
You go to the store and say you need a piece of pipe.
The storekeeper asks you, how many inches do you need?
You answer...

"I'm a bloke"
Thanks for demonstrating why math scores are so bad here in the states.
9 X 3 = 27 feet
27 - 13 = 14 feet
14 X 12 = 168 inches
How'd I do?
