Good evening from Northern Ireland. Long time lurker of this board and the topics here have given me great laughs and yes, I too detest the show that is "Universe", for such show does not deserve to have the title "Stargate" associated with it at all imo.
I have contemplated which topic to reply to first but have decided this topic will be my first.
I have also replied to that article-thing and it too is under moderation so I doubt it will get posted --

Only the other day he was begging (bargaining) & now he is blaming (denial/anger)............. hasn't he got those the wrong way around? I thought denial came before bargaining (although that said, I guess he was in denial for over a year) thinking that SGPOO was awesome, that it was dark/gritty/edgey, that we just don't "get it", that the bad ratings are because of the evil SGA fans etc etc.

Meh, wallets=egos in my eyes. I deal with enough of them at work, imo, they deserve to be thrown into an air lock of a submarine or even better, a spacecraft. The TPTB of Stargate are no better than B&B - Braga and Brannon of Star Trek.

I just don't know WHY TPTB keep going on like this at all. Surely by now they must know that articles and comments like these are just going to get slammed, not just by the people here, but obviously by the general Stargate fanbase!
The only reason I can fathom for this behaviour is that having seen the writing on the wall they want to try to destroy the franchises loyal fanbase by not only splitting them into two camps, but have something so damaged (in thier eyes) that no one will ever want to touch the franchise ever again. It really feels to me as af the Russian idea of the "scorched Earth" policy is in full effect. The only problem is however, that anyone who even casually looks at all the different sites, articles convention numbers and so on know that the fanbase is still there, awaiting the day for Stargate's eventual ressurection and will hold not only a loving candle but will ignite full on fucking bonfires to get thier show back.
Epic Fail just does TPTB injustice, it takes pure talent to fail so utterly and miserably.

Yeah, pretty suspicious timing. I guess that zero.point thing has all the squees in a shit-fit.
Uh, Brad, YOU are the reason I'm "angry" you and you're outright nasty attacks on the other shows before the premiere, your stupid and nasty remarks to a critic and your continual snide attacks on your previous actors who were the ones who turned lemons into lemonade on a regular basis for years. I still watched the premiere because I want to enjoy Stargate and I hung on until the break but I just couldn't take it any more, it was just so dull and dreary. And yes I watched BSG and B5 and Farscape, I'm not turned off by dark, epic sci-fi but there's more to that then turning off the lights.

Indeed.
And people criticise China for the big firewall that stops people from posting negative stuff about their government, how is the current SGU defence wall any better? I say, what pro-SGU articles and websites are doing (when they don't like people criticising the show and censors them) are nothing more (if I was like American and really really patriotic) than instigating an attack on the pro-democratic ideals that the western world stands for.
Is GW against Democracy? I don't know... when they censor speech and criticisms.. to me all those men and women that died for us so we can have this freedom to speak out... dear, they must be turning in their graves, died in vain...

Welcome! I have to disagree with you a bit on TPTB being the equivalent to B&B. B&B had ideas for Voyager and Enterprise that they never got to implement due to UPN being run by idiots, so they were railroaded into trying to make TNG mk. II and III. The SGU TPTB have no such executive meddling and they are cranking out work that is just as bad, if not worse, than what B&B put out. That speaks for itself.
Dissolution 101
So, what we have learned, my fellow students, is how to dissolve a successful show. Lets say, for example, you have a show that has been on air for well over a decade. You're tired, all you want is to retire. But, they won't let you go, the producers, the fans, the advertisers. They want more of your wonderful stories. True, in many cases, watching your show has become a family tradition and leaving that willingly is not likely to happen. What is a writer/producer to do in such a situation? Well, today we'll teach you that in three easy steps:
First, isolate your fans. Make sure whatever you put out there is completely and totally opposite from what they want or expect.
Second, when the fans start to question what you've put out there tell them that there must be something wrong with them, and attempt to convince them the product is the best you've ever done. As difficult as it might be to do this with a straight face, it must be done. This step involves demeaning and insulting your fan base, and most likely will cause a major divide. This is good, to have your fan base fighting amongst themselves will contribute to our end goal of dissolution and retirement!
Finally, when most of your fan base has jumped ship, to secure the dissolution and ensure that they will never, ever want to watch anything with your name attached to it again, blame the ultimate failure of your product on them!
Remember, the ultimate success to dissolution depends on your commitment to the motto "THE CUSTOMER IS NEVER RIGHT!" If you live and breath this, make it a part of your daily life, you too will be a successful Dissolution and Retirement graduate! By comparison their GW store site flies in. I think the page errors are due to an incomplete load. I know they disallow anon comments or whatever when server loads are high.. If you have anything "deep linked" ie past the main page sometimes it will willingly load them while dragging entry on the home page.

I knew this would happen!
I predicted this awhile back. Brad Wright, Joe Mallozzi, and Robert C. Cooper will blame the Stargate fandom, particularly the SGA fans, for SGU's demise. It's already started and it will get worse. I knew they would do this, it was only a matter of time. The good news in all of this is that their statements are indications of desperation.
