Let's face it.
They have shown some serious talent writing wise in the past.
But...
Wright's reaction to SaveDrJackson.com (saying there were death threats at the time, huh, that reminds me of something similar) and the trashing the Chicago critic gave SGU show that Wright is mentally 7 years old. We've all seen this. It's the kind of kid that, when things don't go their way, throw their toys out of the pram. He stills throws hissy fits despite being on SG for 13 years when showbiz doesn't have those kind of deals and job durability that often. Or maybe he throws hissy fits BECAUSE he's been on the job so long and feels entitled? That could change, you know.
Cooper has always been the quieter one (interviews wise) but he has a gigantic problem: apparently SGU's idea came from him. What was once a joke in SG-1's '200' is now the sole reality of the SG franchise. Add to that that he either bailed the sinking ship or was fired for sinking the ship (they didn't make this clear).
They also haven't made clear what the **** happened exactly with SGA (and the same goes for Liar liar pugs on fire). Wright has said that it was the ratings but now SGU has worse ratings with a bigger budget. Maybe he should also get the boot? After Seinfeld introduced the 'show about nothing', Wright et al introduce the 'show that canceled itself'.
Simply put, taking responsibility isn't something they have shown to be capable of. Maybe they'll surprise us. Maybe Mozz will stop being a douchebag. Maybe Cooper will glue a rug on his head and join WitSec. Maybe Wright will stop feeding his actors bullshit on how they want more people than those who watched SGA and maybe he'll just settle if the hardcore fans will simply watch the show? Oh wait, he did that one already. These are desperate times.
