It's unfortunate that the majority of the SGU actors won't ever be elevated to "B list" status, like R. Carlyle and Lou Diamond Philips. Even in the tiny (relatively speaking) world of the Science Fiction gendre these 2 are B list at best. The rest of the cast wouldn't be much more than extras on silver screen sci-fi.

It's funny but David Blue has a better chance of moving up to B-list than most of the cast. It's more of a 'sad' funny, because there is actual talent on the cast (Ming Na is purported to be a good actress for instance.)

I hate all the characters, Rush included, but it's a shame that SGU wasn't the "dark and gritty" show that was promised. (dark , gritty and modern doesn't have to be perverted teenie drama nonsense!) The cast of SGU and the production team are the ones that will pay the price for TPTB's arrogance.

Dark = bad lighting. Quite the punchline Mr. Wright. Haha joke's on us.

Would BJS be so bad if he had a better role? Or the girl that plays Chole?

There are rumours that they are struggling to learn the lines for their next jobs. How hard can it be to learn " do you want fries with that "

As for some of the younger cast well, after some of the snide, uncalled for remarks they've made about sci-fi and previous SG shows, not to mention *unwise* comments about fans, it would be poetic justice if they couldn't even get hired for cons or Syfy original movies in a few years, when they need to. I'm not sure I see many of them going on to do much part from being working Vancouver actors, but we'll see. I see Sfyfy being interested in shopping David Blue around to various guest spots at least.

In some ways of course they're just parrotting what TPTB have told them to say and I can't blame them for that, but apparently not one of them, except for maybe David Blue, has realised that there is an *upside* to being a "genre" star, namely a fanbase that will follow you *anywhere*? Do they not realise how many truely awful projects I've sat through for SG casts? But BJS, good luck with me being interested in anything you ever do again.

Ditto! I know what you mean about the terrible movies...I like michael shanks and hubby loves stupid disaster movies... makes for a fun saturday! I see Robert Carlyle skulking back to the UK where they appreciate him, Ming-Na will probably become a secondary character on an american tv show again, LDP will keep on keeping on to support himself (hopefully he gets some really good offers...he is an excellent actor IMHO). the rest of the cast doesn't thrill me...I am sure BJS will be pursing his lips on a scifi saturday movie in the next year, DB & EL should find their way back to US tv screens in a season or two.
