I'm finally caught up on this show. They didn't sell me on the everyone's in danger bit either. But that was a nasty looking parasite for sure.
that scene reminded me of the second episode of SG1- where they try to get the goa'uld out of Kawalsky only to be "fooled" by removing a dead husk!
add this to the asgard theme music and they have obviously "borrowed" from SG1....when do we get a friendly alien with pointy ears?
Just watched last weeks ep and it was a snoozefest! It's a heckle worthy show!Oh boy taylor convinces the murder to join the sixers and spy for him...took a while to think of planting a spy in their midst didn't it? The whining teenage boy confesses all to daddy and wow everything is ok...no punishment! and what will happen to the identity thief...he really does have the scientific background but it appears he murdered his boss and took his place @ terra nova. do they lock him up somewhere or send him out to fend for himself? HOPEFULLY now taylor realizes who the spy is!That idiotic mother "make me listen to you!" PAY attention to your kids you self-involved moron!!!!
oh well we need to come up with a tomato rating scale for this show....I give the last ep three tomatoes!
Fox's Terra Nova slipped 9% vs. last week matching its series low 2.1 adults 18-49 rating
TVByTheNumbers still has this show listed as "On The Bubble" but I think the Cancellation Bear is glancing over...

Off the top of my head I'd figure that the production costs alone merit a higher rating than 6.4 to continue. They might be breaking even or making a little profit but I bet they expected a much higher draw. Location shooting, large cast, SFX, dinosaurs to feed = big expense to produce.
All depending what they already have "in the can" they will probably finish out in Spring of 2012 and then be done, possibly sooner.
If they fed those dinosaurs some of the children it would be a win-win for everyone.
"Bad Barney" is ready and waiting to proceed on this excellent script idea!
I saw it last night. Mira and Taylor had to work together, the "spy" was a lame reveal, and there were dinos walking around on a golf course. And I think Barney may have devoured Chaka off-screen.
Now that's my kind of porn.
Should I catch up on this show? I just downloaded the latest episode and I can hardly make it through the first 10 minutes. I am thinking I could do reviews with the new Xtranormal software I got. The premise doesnt grab me. I dont understand what it is supposed to be about. The premise about going back in time to the time of the dinosaurs INTENTIONALLY is lame and illogical to me.
Should I take the time to catch up?
I really think your time would be better spent watching Once Upon A Time or Homeland... I'm sure someone here will let you know if anything good happens on Terra Nova.
The show begins in the year 2149, a time when all life on planet Earth is threatened with extinction due to dwindling worldwide air quality and overpopulation. It has become virtually impossible for humanity to survive, and almost no vegetation exists. At Hope Plaza, a massive ring shaped structure in Chicago, scientists discover a rift in space-time that allows people to travel 85 million years back in time to the late Cretaceous period of an alternate prehistoric Earth. The Shannon family (father Jim, his wife Elisabeth, and their three children Josh, Maddie, and Zoe) join the Tenth Pilgrimage of settlers to Terra Nova becoming part of the first human colony on the other side of the temporal doorway.[SUP][3][/SUP]
The Shannon Family starts a new life in Terra Nova while dealing with carnivorous dinosaurs and the Sixers, a splinter group of colonists from the Sixth Pilgrimage who are trying to transport all of Terra Nova's resources back to 2149.
