Sanctuary Ratings Discussion

Back when Syfy was Sci-Fi anyone remember SG1-Mondays? 4 hours of reruns of SG1 on Mondays starting at 6pm for years. The ratings must have been good for them to keep it running for a couple years.

I sure do, it started at 4 over here so I caught the last two hours. Oh, The good old days.

I suppose it could work if they only have a total of 6 scripted shows. But it just shows stupidity - you put your costliest shows in the primo slots not reality sludge. And while Sanctuary is inexpensive it still likely is more than a reality show.

Sanctuary costs nearly $2 mil an episode, I'd hardly call that inexpensive.

What is Syfy showing at 9pm before Sanctuary?

Movies -
16th May : Total Recall
23rd May : Interview with the Vampire

When Sanctuary returns on Monday it will be Dawn of the Dead, then The Devil's Advocate. The finale will have a Sanctuary S3 marathon on beforehand.

Thanks :)
How about Basketball, is there any big game planned for this Monday?

BTW in the interest of accuracy those people claiming that Sanctuary was getting consistently over 1.5 million viewers before the move to Monday are wrong.

No offense to Brian but he has been wrong before. Not that he's deliberately making stuff up (he's a decent guy) but sometimes he doesn't always get confirmed news.

EDIT: Although you'd assume Syfy are going to do something with it; Monday isn't working at all.

Maybe you should ask him before we assume he could be wrong, he probably has reliable sources.

Not saying he is wrong; I just said he's been wrong before. No disrespect to him intended, maybe I'm just cynical about Syfy right now :icon_lol:.

That's cool, I just thought he deserved a chance to defend himself.

A news release from syfy would be the best source, I'm with GB, he must have reliable sources to make that statement.

Hopefully he will feel his ears burning and come round and talk to us. :icon_e_wink:
