Sorry but i always saw him as a little pervy. Alot of guys are who don't have alot of experience with women. I'm sure Rac80 can bring up a ton of examples from the show.
I think the joke was tasteless, but it fit. if they turn McKay into an ogling drooling infantile chauvanist who can't think outside the box (like the SG1 version of him) then they've literally gone backwards in character development because SGA McKay was very well developed, but that doesn't mean he won't pay attention to a pair of headlights like that. (What heterosexual man wouldn't?)

you want my nemesis to beat me up don't you? she is rather fanatical about mckay. but yeah he was obsessed with sex...mostly what he thought shep was getting. any man who "calls dibs" on the next hot alien definitely has earned his rep. what bothered me about the comment is he was less pervy than the two women talking about him. tj-sleeping-with-her-married-co and lt-I-like-closet-sex-james have absolutely NO room to talk about someone else being pervy. (I also disliked the scene in trio where mckay et al discuss poor radeck as a perv!)

Yep we are in perfect agreement. If that had been said at the begining of season 1 yep I would by the comment after season 5 no freakin way. Its also an in sult not to know his name....yep whats that great big brain box who is like a real person again........

They may have met him quite a while ago to be fair. Plus Mckay is one of the writers favorite characters, I don't think they want to mock him just to downplay Atlantis.

Unlikely considering thier (James and TJ's) respective ages, but sure, it's possible. Hell, it could even be an "in joke" about when the actress who plays James was in Irrisponsible
For all we know, Dave may have "talked to the chest" at some point during filming, they are an understandable distraction

Sure, but was your friend wearing a similar get-up to what she was wearing in Irrisponsible? I can easily talk to a "well endowed" female and keep eye contact, no problems, but when they're all but "in your face", it does make it more difficult
(I'm sure however Mr H was a gentleman to you and your friend, conrtrary to whay you might have been "wishing for"

I find it VERY difficult to keep eye contact if they are set up like that. Women with FAKE big ones seem to invite the attention, whilst those with huge NATURAL ones tend to be far more conservative.

Where have you heard that Julia's breasts are fake? Because she herself has said that they are real.
An if that topless thing was just an episode of Masters of Horror and there's nothing wrong with an actress who doesn't have an issue with doing nude scenes as long it is necessary for the story.

Yeh I kind of agree. Spartacus is a great example of nudity being used to create an atmosphere to the show - if it held back at all it just wouldn't work. Plus she's shown herself to be a good actress in SGU so I think she deserves to have the emphasis placed on that.

I don't really have a dog in this fight but thought I should point out that some actresses lie about their "enhancements". Just sayin'.
(Oh, and there is a certain quality to the female form that is indicative of breast enhancement. The over-sized "softball/grapefruit" look is certainly not one found in nature.)

Though I don't think her breasts are unnaturally big. I've seen bigger that I know for a fact were real.
