one can only hope! i am hoping because it is already cancelled (and syfy is sdvertising "the final ten episodes") the casual viewer will NOT tune in and we will be left with the few, the die-hard, the squeedrones! ;)

I think the way they're advertising it as "every story comes to an end blah blah blah" might trick a few casual viewers into thinking it's going to get wrapped up all nice and tight and they'll probably tune in. There might be a brief up-tick in ratings for the mid-season premiere but I don't think it will hold thru all ten episodes -- especially if the writing is more of the same as we saw in the first season and a half.

Oh boy, won't they be pleasantly surprised.

But most patrons (i.e. the casual viewers) of Syfy will already know that SGU sucks and that they will avoid it like a plague. Plus the fact that it's been pushed aside to a 10pm slot makes it easier for them to select which shows to watch and which ones they shall not.
