Terrestrial channels are your "free to air" channels, so the ones you get without paying anything for. Cable is your "pay TV" that you need a subcription for. It's the same all over the world, we all just have diferent names for them. :)

Finals refer to the total tally of viewers after the live viewing and the "24 hours" after the initial broadcast of a show, not the end of a season oranything else chief.
Make sense?

Yep, it's totally clear now, thanks.
Also thanks to Tropicana.

So is terrestrial a lot of channels there?
Here there's only 3 I think. But I also get those via cable.

In the States, you got a few.

When I was living in LA, we had ABC, CBS, FOX, the CW, My13 and loads of Spanish ones.

I'm more interested in the L+7 for this one to be honest. I didn't think many more people would watch it live, but they may have DVR'd it to watch later.
I suspect there may be a small uptick with the DVRing but won't be major, plus from the graph correlation, there is a direct pattern between SD and +7, when more people watch it live, there is an increase in it being DVRed, whereas if it's a crap episode, people don't watch it live, they don't bother to DVR it either. It appears people don't have it to automatically record SGU, instead they set it accordingly based on hear'say/promo of the upcoming ep.

Perhaps I should write me a review that'd put the episode in a more positive light.
I kinda liked it.

Are we basing that solely of the opinions on here? I thought the episode was pretty great.
Fair question, Yoshi. I was basing it mainly on what I read at Syfy, really. I haven't checked GW yet, but since they don't allow criticism that would be very much pointless.

BTW, check out the Networks ratings this week compared to last week. There was a little drop for DWTS and Castle, while some of the other shows picked up a little in the number of viewers. So the basketball championship games wouldn't be enough to explain why a huge amount of people would DVR SGU who would have watched it live instead. Also, the McKay cameo, which was supposed to motivate SGA fans to watch the episode have been labeled as a 'flop' by most SGA fans who did watch (yes, I am basing that on opinions here, a SG fan site, not becessarily SGU).
But what do I know? ;)

This is about the DVR - I think people who want to see it now are those who are interested in the McKay bits (get your mind out of the gutter) and they most likely will just skim over the rest - won't be counted, because they don't watch the entire thing. Fans can't save the show, though, not even McKay fans. The casual viewer is just not interested in this show anymore.

If I was working for Syfy, I would pull SGU off the air, it's the last 4 episodes of the series anyway. Put reruns of TNG or SG-1/SGA or whatever, make whatever money you can out of that slot. And air the remaining 4 episodes on a Sunday morning where you know it doesn't matter ratings wise. Only competition? A few preachers/evangelists.

Be prepared for a suprise then mate, cause even some of the hardcore SGU'ers were "less than impressed"

I thought it'd be a good idea to carry the list on this thread as is being done on the ratings predictions thread.
Took me a while to sift through 34 pages containing 675 comments and I'm therefore a tad disappointed that I only found the following numbers.
It will make predicting the numbers for the next eps easier and more competitive to have these easily available methinks.
If anyone has the numbers for the earlier season 2 eps or even the season 1 eps it might be nice to add those as well.

S2E11 - 1.035.000 - Deliverance
S2E12 - ..928.000 - Twin Destinies
S2E13 - ..814.000 - Alliances
S2E14 - ..876.000 - Hope
S2E15 - ..823.000 - Seizure

Some people were moaning that it featured the "lesser" Atlantis characters. They annoy me.
Indeed. You can't get more SGA iconic than McKay! Other than perhaps Sheppard, but they're probably at the same level.
Although I must say A LOT more people would be tuning in just to see Joe Flanigan, especially the ladies ;)

You could be right with this, I think Sheppard fans were some of the most disaffected. Rodney fans didn't seem to share the same intense dislike of SGU. So some of them may have been watching all along anyways.
