IMO, it would be fun to see how much of a big up we can do for DH/McKay. Spreading the word about watching next week's episode only for DH/McKay. It would be hilarious to see the ratings shoot beyond 2 million, then the episode following that fall below 900,000.

IIRC, the ep with Joe jumped (after L+7) to around 4.1 mil and the ep itself had around 2.5-6, but thats a pretty hazy memory TBH.

Edit: just checked 4.3 mill, making it the the top rated ep to date *at that time*

Joe's ep was the highest rated ep at the time, but later episodes bested it. By how much, I don't know. I still believe that many people tuned into the show in the first place, waiting to see his ep, and then stuck around after they got hooked. I wish he'd have made a return appearance, as I was never interested enough in the show again to watch.

Re watching SGU for McKay, I made a vow to never watch SGU and I'm going to keep it. But I'll be searching YouTube for his scenes the next day and looking to see if any mention is made of Atlantis and the rest of the team.

(Now if Sheppard was the one to appear, I may have had to break my vow and ended up in Purgatory. :O )

Ironically, I started out watching WH13 from the start and lost interest a while after Joe's episode for some reason. I dunno, it probably had to do with the fact that it was mostly fantasy rather than scifi.

I have to say, if I was a Nielsen family I'd probably watch live, just to give SGA's rep a boost. But since I'm not, I have no real incentive to watch the darned thing in it's entirety.

I don't think so.I dislike sgu and I don't see why I would watch sgu just to see DH/mackay and being disappointed by the way TPTB could change him.I prefer to keep in mind MCkay of SGA.I don't forget if TPTB used MacKay and Woolsey it was only cos they were also SG1 characters. Otherwise why They didn't use any other SGA characters like Sheppard Lorne Zelenka.

While claiming to use SGA characters, BW is really bringing in more SG1! Anyone noticed how DH was even asked to "act like 1st season McKay", as if SGA had never happened...?
And we have seen a cameo by Dr. Lee as well, who was actually a laughing stock in SG1, but where's the talented Zelenka?
So yes, even this is more BS by Brad Wright.

But who cares? The point is to send MGM the message that we want McKay & Co back! If this episode spikes in the ratings and then everything goes back to normal afterwards, the execs will get the message, don't worry. So watch live if it counts (leave the TV on and go do something else if you can't stand SGU) or BUY the episode from Amazon or iTunes if your live viewing doesn't count. You won't be rewarding BW, you'll be sticking a thumb in his face for dropping SGA, and getting MGM's attention in the process.

Lorne was an SG1 character....first seen in Enemy Mine...season 7, ep 7. :D

Okay, another Thursday, another German SGU-ratings day. Now it is official, SGU hurts the first run of True Blood. It's interesting to see also the numbers of TB. Both shows are on screen with two episodes. Every first episode of True Blood has horrible numbers, the second always get more viewers and a much better MA (part of the TV-market).

episode - 3-49 years - 14-49 years - MA (%)
5 - 0.92 Mill. - 0.64 Mill. - 5.1 %
6 - 0.86 Mill. - 0.58 Mill. - 4.7 %
