I must stick to the original , I love me some Daniel. And even though it is not on the list, I would like to add a young Kurt Russell from the movie as a close second.

Kurt Russell sucks!
He's both ugly and portrays a non likable character.
Hooray for RDA!

BTW, I voted other because I think Ba'al is the hottest character in the series.

To each his own, but I have to disagree , Kurt Russell when he was young was beyond yummy!

a llittle respect for the original character created by Kurt Russell, I would be willing to expect RDA to agree gladly , so where is this hate coming from? The man was HOT. Age happens to all of us. But there would be no SG shows without the incredible success of the Stargate movie and Kurt Russell is one of the main reasons for that. So again. What is with all the hate? From your founder?

You think he is ugly?

I have to disagree. He was Awesome.

Kurt Russell was to my opinion in no way responsible for the success of the Stargate movie.
He felt out of place there. Also the rest of the 'military men' that were on the mission didn't appeal to me.
RDA was far more likable as Jack Oneill than Kurt was. If they'd redo the original movie with RDA in it as Jack I would cheer.

How can the star of the movie not be in any way responsible for it's success? I can agree to disagree. You are not going to change my mind and I am obviously not going to change yours. He was for me the second hottest character, I chose Daniel as my first.

Agreed. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind anyway, just stating my opinion.
Good choice, Daniel.
To answer your question. It's usually the movie that makes the stars, not the other way around. If a movie is dependent on the presence of a certain person to be a hit then the movie simply sucks.

I agree with that. The BEST movies are good because of the story and the direction of the movie and the actors within it. The presence of an actor should not be the primary reason for seeing any movie. A truly good movie with unknowns starring in it will turn those unknowns into stars, but a bad movie with well known stars in it wont make the movie any better. I also would have chosen Baal (Cliff Simon) if he had been on the list! But straight guys admire different aspects of men then women do, so I understand that the voting may seem sorta odd to me.

I also agree that Kurt Russel seems an odd choice to be considered "hot". He has that trailer park boys look. I did like his Jack better than RDA, because he seems more "Alpha" and several degrees more believable as a military guy than Jack. But the movie Daniel (Spader) is nowhere near as good as Shanks' Daniel from SG-1, imo.

Being a woman, I can say undoubtably when he was young, he would not have been kicked out of my bed. And that to me is hot, somebody you would bang-bang with. Gorgeous eyes, hard body, soft kissable looking lips... Okay I need to stop now. LOL

Gotta agree with Graybrew on Kurt, though: awesome dude! :smiley_squee:

And he did play an important role in the movie Stargate. It wasn't SG-1, so RDA would have been out of place there. Sorry, Stoneless...
