AWESOME! But why did you change the gate from the SG-1 gate in the photos to the SGU gate? I was thinking...you could put a character from SGU in front of the Kawhoosh and....nevermind. Was the Kawhoosh in SG-1 and SGA all CGI? I read somewhere that it was done using actual water in a glass container.

But honestly I think you can do better than this.

donno i just did..

and in sg1 the kawoosh was a jet engine firing into a big water tank. they used that in sga i think aswell but mostly it was cg sgu however is pure cg and i think that effect looks a thousand times better.

I am not a pro. I would say I like the stargate better on the second one, it light up more right? But the swoosh likes about the same. Both are good.

a buddy of mine did some more postwork on it and i think it came out really really good and show like so ill be doing the same with the final renders to try and get that show look down.

If I may offer a point of critique, I think the water in the background looks a little blurry.
