I'm very sorry to hear about the cancellation of that project you were working on. Hope you'll be able to find a new project soon. It seems you've been delivering great work on the last so it's a shame it'll probably never make it to the big screen. Hope it'll help you find more work though.

Cool ship dude, reminds me a little of a cross between a BSG "viper" and a republic "gunship" with that wing mounted weapon pod, (I also detect a hint of the Eurofighter if I'm not mistaken )

Sucks the movie had issues, but bright side (he says to the sith lord........... ), it's work thats out there

i guess.. i modeled it after a VERY basic concept they had drawn up but i went in a very dif and unique direction so the design is pretty much all mine cept for some basic stuff that remained.

yeah me too.. and no not really and currently i am owed a substantial amount os money that i wont get.


sorry guys im in a bad place right now so i dont feel like going into to much detail but ill tell you this.

this didnt end well and i only found out after reciving no reply's for about 2 weeks so i had to go and hunt down another senior artist and ask him wtf had happened and he then informed me. he is also owed money and substantially more so then me.

As those few of you who bother reading my short pointless rants and crap know, in october i was recruited as a freelance modeler for a sci fi themed movie being made in Turkey and things started out fine intresting concepts and work along with some neat new things learned and acquaintances made and i was payed for a number of models i delivered so i figured ok these guys seem trustworthy and moderatly talented so i thought no more about it and continued hammering out the projects i had been granted until about 2 weeks ago when suddenly all comunications seized and as i got a bit worried i sent ALOT of emails to quite a few people i knew were involved but i recieved no reply and as such i got even more worried and confused about what the hell was going on but i had run out of people to try and contact but i had been told early on that Kelly (Kat) Lee Myers (BSG, Iron Sky etc) was involved or was to be involved in this project in some fashion (the main reason i really wanted this gig in the first place) so i figured why not try and aproach him and see if he knew WTH was up and he did know and had been told that the project had been cancelled due to funding issues, however no one informed me of this even tho ive made several attempts to contact those people so now im back on square one with no job and being owed money something which unfortunatly as im told is VERY VERY common in this industri and a damn shame.

frankly i can understand things happening that are out of the project leaders controll but that does not excuse the lack of comunication and reply's to me ever increasing desparate emails and other attemts to learn WTF happened and that pisses me off royaly!

so now im in quite a finacial tough spot with rent and other bills due and i have no money to pay them with thankfully my country is still somewhat socialist still so im still going to have a roof over my head and some food for now but im still in a very dark place from all of this and it has been anasty learning experience but in the future i will def be RUTHLESS and demand payment in advance before i even start any sort of project for anyone and i would advice any upcoming or person wanting to or just starting out in this industri to do the same ie be very thourough in your research about the company and their history be critical ask questions and make damn sure you are being payed before hand.

anyway i think thats enough of a rant about this for now if you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments below and i will try my best to answer them!
