Thanks! many seem to agree with you that mine is better i cant uderstand why tho but ill go with the flow ;)

It doesn't take a real close look by someone with an eagle eye to note that your picture is a lot more defined than the original. Perhaps the original was taken from a low definition source and that explains it.

well yeah most of it is due to me not using any film grain and some other stuff i guess.
and no the pic was originally of higher rez then my recreation :P

i could do more with it but im getting bored with the scene so this will have to do (for now)

Nice work! Though I did have trouble at first to see what I was looking at. This was due to the Daedalus class ship almost melding together with Destiny. Is there anything you could do to make them stand more apart whilst still overlapping?

Another thought...
Perhaps you could have Atlantis destroy Destiny with the drones and then whilst on their way the drones could write SGU SUCKS in the sky before they finally crashed into Destiny. :D

ill work on the overlap as it bugs me alittle aswell.

and atlantis is WAY to large (geometricly speaking) to render in the same scene as destiny.

Maybe you could make a picture of a puddle jumper destroying the Destiny? That would be even funnier than the Daedalus destroying it, because the puddle jumpers are so much smaller. It would look cool if the Destiny would break apart after a drone hit it. Like the Titanic in the big 90s movie, just in space and with explosions, where the ship is breaking apart. :D

Of course the cityship Atlantis destroying the Destiny would look cool, too, but I guess Atlantis is far more complicated than the Daedalus and a puddle jumper. ;)

What if you would take an angle with Atlantis in the background firing at Destiny in the foreground?

Y'know, just a thought, it we all invest and maybe get a film crew on this, we could even make our own internet show :p Just a thought, i wouldn't put any effort into such a thing without support from others who would be willing to get involved.
