Lol it was a request from aragon as his fic has some minor tie ins to sgu.Am I mistaken or is that actually an SGU stargate? The animation is BEAUTIFUL.
Why would you have an SGU stargate in an Atlantis fanfic?
What is the Ancients never intended Destiny to continue its mission one they learned to ascend? What is that antiquated technology was seen as a potential future threat to the various aliens throughout the galaxy and the Ancients considered it a mistake?
Fanfic idea: Atlantis activates an automatic sequence of events beginning with preparing the city for space travel. The crew onboard the city goes into a panic as the engines fire to life and Atlantis takes off from San Francisco harbor. It dips into the Sun for fuel and then slingshots around the Sun and goes into hyperspace. then it opens a portal within hyperspace which allows it to travel almost instantly to Destiny. When it emerges from hyperspace, the gate on Destiny activates to evacuate the ship to Atlantis, and then when the ship is empty, the city's weapons destroy her and fly through the wreckage.
Personally i dont care if SGU fits into cannon or not and i dont need another reason to not like it is doing a fair job of burring itself atm
as for the fic idea NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS would i offer my help on something that features the SGU people so heavily

? tbh im slightly offended that you asked, there is to much work in most of my models just for me to casually realese them for anyone to use at their whim.

Agreed! but bare in mind i AM a swede and that makes me prone to acts of piracy on occasionI know how you feel dude, which is why I still actually buy all my stuff rather than download/copy it. If you truly love a product/service you should be prepared to pay for it if you want "on demand" availiablity. I see nothing wrong with fanvids that take clips and/or musical scores or fanfic that borrows characters/settings that someone else has made, but to outright knock off an entire products shits me. Of course there are exceptions such as freeware or free downloads etc in which someone does something for "the love of it" or "self promotion" or even as a "social service", but flogging someone else's work really shits me.

By the way have you seen the special feature on the SG-dvd's where they show a bit of how they do the CGI and what they use to render it?

well im pretty much 100% self taught and most of my skills come from basic trial and error, altho i have read/watched quite a few tutorials when ive hit a wall and they have been very helpfull.
