Kraven the Hunter movie? What are they thinking?!

Once again Hollywood is planning to make a Spiderman bad guy the hero/protagonist of his own movie. I don't understand the appeal of this gimmick. Yes, it's possible to fudge the Venom story by having the symbiote move to someone with a heart of gold who makes the creature act good, but Kraven the Hunter is an out and out bad guy. Plus he's lame, really lame. He looks like a 1970's gay porn actor with a cocaine addiction and bad fashion sense.

I honestly don't know. I think it's supposed to either be the furry pelt of an animal that he's killed or its feathers. Either way it's a horrendous look.

*Also, how is a movie about a "heroic" big game hunter going to go over with the ticket buying public? Are we supposed to believe that he doesn't kill animals for sport? You don't have to be a member of PETA to find that repugnant, and lots of people will. So I just don't see how this will work as a movie.
