I think Julia Benson is an ok actress, but James is completely forgettable to me except as someone who is either the victim of "Peeping Tom Eli" or inexplicably being upset that Schmoopy Scott gave up closet sex with her for Chloe.

I've been to her blog though and she deals with some of the criticism of her character with more grace than TPTB ever have dealt with anything.

I don't judge her acting, as the only thing I've ever seen her in is SGU. However, she does seem to have more intelligence and grace, and is vastly better looking, than any of the rest of the cast. If I were her, I think I'd be asking to have my character spaced, so I could pursue a chance at being in a decent show. Her looks alone should get her some better offers than SGU.

Agreed. She did do that one movie where she was naked so i love her, but i think out of all the female characters hers needs to be given more time. She's supposed to be special ops or something, and she only gets used when scott is dicking around somewhere else.

Her character has been treated like crap on the bottom of Brad Wright's shoe from day 1 of the show. It's a shame that she wasn't given much screen time or anything to "chew on" as roles go. I bet when they sold her on doing the show they promised her that her character would be bigger and more involved than the role has been so far.

I think that had they done the show right (none of that soap/drama bullshit) then Lt. James could have been a female version of Sheppard or one of the other action roles (and still have kept her femininity). I'm sure she would have been a huge draw for a certain demographic. But TPTB screwed up royally and now she's nothing more than a soon to be unemployed actor.

She has had such little screentime, so I don't really have an opinion of her character. All I can go by is her looks. She's pretty and has a nice body so she's ok in my book . I wouldn't mind seeing her act in another show in the future.

For an actress, who doesn't like to be reduced to her big breast, she isn't doing much to divert attention away from it. Personally I think she should adopt the Pamela Anderson attitude and just admit, that her big breast is her main capital as an actress and the main reason for why she gets most of her actor jobs.

Divert attention away from them? LOL! Like most women who get breast implants, she seems to love showing them off and exposing them. Most celebrity females who have gotten breast implants have found ways to get them exposed to the public so that others can admire them. I was doing work for a breast augmentation surgery center in Beverly Hills on Roxbury Drive, and in the elevator, women actually ask other women to handle them and comment on how they look! They dont seem to be shy about it at all, even with a man in the room! I think it has something to do with these women not being born with them, and then suddenly they are getting looks from guys they have never gotten before. The creeps who are ONLY drawn to the boobs and nothing else. I dont personally like fake breasts. They dont feel right to me, and I can always feel the implant in there. I broke up with my last gf because she got them. There is NO WAY she doesnt know what she is doing here:

EDIT: I have no proof they are fake except by personal observation of other fakes. The separation in the center and the way they move (or dont move) is a dead giveaway.

Well she is a pretty actress with big melons so that's cool and if they're natural, she should be proud of them; plus I agree with PSW. If they're your asset, use it to your advantage.

I get a big chuckle out of girls with big breasts going all righteous with indignation, wearing revealing clothes saying, "err, my face is up here", I'd always say "err, I thought the girls were talking to my pants" and run away before I get slapped silly.

I gotta use that line! But dude, havent you noticed that women who have large breasts (real or not) tend to love compliments on them AFTER they get to know you? I once made the mistake of eyeing a woman's breasts too intently, and she actually pulled my head into them and said "they want you to buy mama a drink". Made my whole night.

They may have scored big with the young male demo, but they also might have been partly responsible for some of the franchise's earlier fans tuning out SGU. So in the end, deploying The Girls may have backfired.
