I'm trying to make a timeline of future inventions from now (2017) to 2050. Every year should have one invention/technology. That's 33 ideas. I would normally do it myself, but I'm looking for fresh creative ideas from other inquisitive minds. You don't have to explain how the invention works. Just the concept. Be creative. Thanks
as someone who uses firewood for my homes primary heat source--no, not because I am a hillbilly, but because I can and it is renewable and far cheaper to use then even natural gas-even here in central pa where we have an abundance of natural gas
when i open the pipe flu and i hear the roar of the heat shooting up the pipe, i am thinking of all of the potential in that sound
like why can't someone make a 'flapping damper' instead of the heavy cast iron one?
something strong enough to hold back the air flow when you want the heat lower and restrict the air, but when it is opened it can be light enough to spin and generate electric to a capacitor? or whatever would convert/store the energy captured to electric?
a specific example, but i guess in general my idea would be for more home use gadgets that can capture the energy we create everyday from various household activities into usable energy; my example given, or any other action or device that creates otherwise unused energy

seeing that teleportation of our actual bodies is probably pretty far off, how about encoding who we are; our memories and learning/education, expereinces and other necessary for the trip brain functions, into a digital package that can be sent anywhere in the world (internet?) and then tied to a 3d printer-a very good one much better then what exists now-that would print out a copy of our body that would last only long enough to last the time of the visit, download our encoded digital brain functions, memories, etc into this 'body double' and then we could experience places and things where we may not otherwise be able to get to.
a enabling tech for a paralyzed person, or to get ppl out into the solar system for a limited time up to the maximum extent that a digital signal could be carried
like say an otherwise unmanned probe orbiting Jupiter or anywhere. instead of prepping ppl for the journey, send the ship, then when it arrives, send the trained mind of a scientist or other specialist over digital media to the ship, print out a bare minimum "body" and insert the "brain" into it?
