Going to watch Sanctuary from the very beginning, who's with me?

Although I've seen a few episodes of Sanctuary here and there, I've decided to give it a go from the very beginning: season 1, episode 1.

Plus, my friend let me borrow his recordings so I can do them in style with low lights and popcorn.

I'm not generally a fan of monster movies, so this should be interesting.

Anyone with me? :)

I'm gonna start tonight with episode 1.

It really isn't a monster show so to speak. It is much a more a fantasy show with a heathy dollop of humor in it. Strangely, it is the show that best captured the vibe and spirit of SG-1 and SGA.

It did at first but that has changed.

Is it a pajama party? :P Yeah, Sancturay all night long.

These re-watches could be fun! They may also become NECESSARY because there is no real science fiction on the horizon that I can see...just soap-fi for the masses who want to FEEL like they are watching science fiction. Sorta like those suburban kids who want to FEEL ghetto and street, but dont know the real thing. Im so sick of garden burger TV. Im a meat eater. Sanctuary is way cool still, but they have moved away from the sort of action that was so cool in season 1 and season 2. You can only find so many venues for storytelling on earth, so that leaves the stories and backstories of the abnormals themselves. They seem to be playing around with the locales more than the abnormals. I dont need to see an abnormal that has global influence. Lets get back to basics.

Having said that, season 1 and season 2 are the "basics" for Sanctuary so this is a very good idea for you. :)

Okay, so I watched Sanctuary eps 1 and 2 of season 1. Pretty darn great, a little campy, but all good. If I make comment threads as we go, should I model them after the season 3 comment threads? (e.g. #101, #102... )?

Sure, go ahead and start discussion threads for each episode you want to in the Sanctuary forum. We'll rename them, merge them or move them around later if need be. :)

(or perhaps Sanctuary Ep101 "Sanctuary For All" discussion thread)

I'll join you. I have Season 1 & 2, nothing else on tv expect HGTV. Butter please on the popcorn and a large Mr. Pibb. The kids like it when I do a fruit tray w/cheese for our LOTR marathon with a little side of Filet Migon wrapped in bacon. Then they ruin it with MAC and Cheese. But I love them anyway so Mac and cheese it is.
