Well I forced myself to listen. He tried very hard not to put his foot in his mouth and succeeded to a degree. He waffled on about SGU obviously and said that he ALWAYS intended to do Atlantis crossovers. I guess he forgets what he says in previous interviews. He was delighted to have McKay back and since SGA was practically the McKay show and the only person they could write for, no surprises there!!. He can't understand how some find SGU the best show ever and some the worst show ever. Besides the handful of squeedrones over on GW I don't know anyone else who thinks it's the best show ever. The interviewer tells him he's a huge fan of the show but didnt even know it was moved to Tuesday and thinks the ratings are doing really well!!
This is when Brad began to sound a bit desparate that we watch it on Tuesdays and he hopes the show goes on forever. This is where my bitterness kinda pops up again. He couldnt wait to cancel SGA, though still professing that one had nothing to do with the other ,but yet wants to keep this crap on the air for as long as possible. Once again proclaiming how new and different it is yada yada yada. I don't have a problem with new and different Brad, what I have a problem with is when new and different isnt really new and different and ultimately is just forced melodrama with the same issues and plot holes that plagued the other two shows. But with the other two shows you had great characters, which SGU sorely lacks and all the wonderful special effects, big guest stars and great locations won't make a blind bit of difference. SGU is failing because it's badly written with horrible unlikeable characters and that's not going to change.
Oh guess what, season two will have more humour and adventure. But didnt we have more humour and adventure in the previous successful show that they cancelled. Eli will be the comic refief and Young according to Brad is very funny, so we will have funnier psycho behaviour from Young.
And poor Chloe's afliction, ahem her encounter with the Blue Aliens will have an effect on her relationship with Scott, awww!
Other than boring stuff about SGU nothing of interest but definitley pleading for anyone to watch. He doesnt seem to have a clue that he's killing the franchise and taken away everything that Stargate stood for. Stargate stood for the good in humanity for me and that's why I loved it, now all we get is selfish, immoral, backstabbing morans who shouldnt be anywhere near the Stargate programme , and he can't understand why so many hate what he has done to the franchise, sigh!!
